iOS 13.3 vs. iOS 13.3.1.
iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone XR
π£ From a performance standpoint there is no reason to stay away from iOS 13.3.1. It performance just as good as iOS 13.3 and for some benchmark tests even better. However all scores are more or less to close to mark a clear winner. So expect the same performance on iOS 13.3.1 as you saw on iOS 13. 3. All good on the western front. Peace.

iOS 13.3.1 vs. iOS 13.4 Beta 3
iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone XR
π£ So did you notice?, did you notice that "small" about 1 second delay when pressing about in settings?. Not sure why this happens but it seems to be consistent across all devices, also on iPhone 11 and 11 Pro. Very strange, but it is most likely a bug that will go away before the final release, or maybe Apple is doing some more checks and data collection before displaying the about info. Anyway besides that Beta 3 is much like Beta 2, a very well performing release. Benchmarks are all very close in results compared to iOS 13.3.1, and GUI smoothness is still very good.

iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone XR
π£ The 1 second delay when opening about in settings has been fixed. All devices now seem to boot slower than iOS 13.3.1, but overall performance of the UI seems to be the same. Geekbench test is about the same, faster / slower by only a few points, so considering that a tie. Antutu html5 test is however faster consistently for iOS 13.4 Beta 4. Still looking good.

iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone XR
π£ Performance wise I am not seem much of a difference between iOS 13.3.1 and iOS 13.4 Beta 5. The usability is very much the same with a small advantage to iOS 13.4 here and there, but it is very small differences for sure. Benchmark tests are very close to that of iOS 13.3.1 except for the XR which in this test is quite big. But not something you will notice in everyday use.

iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone XR.
π£ Still look good for iOS 13.5. Boot speeds looks very good compaing to iOS 13.4.1, I did see some lack or delay when using Siri on the 6S and 8. Not sure if this is a 13.5 issue, or a network issue on my side, so do not pay too much attention to that. Benchmarks are still very close to each other, not a difference that matters. So all in all still looking pretty good for what is now called iOS 13.5.

My guess is next week. We 11 went from an "h" build to an "a" build in one week, so maybe we will see one more "a" build before the final.
Lets wait and see what happens next week.

iOS 13.4.1 vs. iOS 13.5 GM(Final)
iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone XR
π£ iOS 13.5 looks very good in terms of performance. Benchmark tests are mostly in favour of iOS 13.5, but in cases where it is behind, it is by such a small margin that I consider it insignificant. UI in iOS 13.5 is also snappy and peforms more or less the same or better that what we are seeing on iOS 13. 4. 1. So over all a good release for sure. Stay tuned for the battery test that I will release in about 5 days time when iOS 13.5 have had some time to settle in.

π£ iOS 13.6 B2 has not changed much, it still looks very good in terms of performance. Benchmark tests are mostly in favour of iOS 13.5.1, though, especially the HTML5 test, where iOS 13.6 Beta 2 gets the short end of the stick in all but one test. UI in iO still performans snappy and more or less the same or better that what we are seeing on iOS 13.5.1. So over all a good still a good beta release for sure, but hopefully they will bring those HTML5 score back up.
Hopefully it will only get better as it nears its release.

iOS 13.5.1 vs. iOS 14 Beta 1
iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone XR
π£ iOS 14 Beta 1 runs surprisingly smooth. So far regarding compatibility of apps on my personal device I have yet to find an app that does not work, even banking apps, which normally fail with a new release works. Also the UI does see to be very close to that of iOS 13.5.1, not many hickups and lags. Some are there but still if you ask me very impressive for a beta 1. Benchmarkβ¦ well SE and 6S where more or less on par. 7, 8 and XR was struggling on multicore performance. I ran the test off camera on these devices again, and it did repeat so do not think it was a glitch. But this is hopefully something that will be worked out as the betas keep coming from now until final release end September.

iOS 13.7 vs. iOS 14
iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone XR
π£iOS 14 does performs much like we have seen on all the betas so far. Which has been pretty good. The UI seems to be running pretty well even on the older devices. There are some delay in boot speed on the oldest devices, but not much. Apps load similar to iOS 13.7, and in some cases a tiny bit faster. Benchmark tests are also almost on par. But HTML5 does not run as smooth on iOS 14. It is clearly visible in the scores, but also if you look at the last run with the dropping balls. There a visible lag on iOS 14 that is not there on iOS 13. Also still issues with Geekbench 5 on iPhone 8 and XR multicore score. But I ran a Geekbench 4 test on these devices, and here it outperformed iOS 13.7. So I guess Geekbench 5 needs an update.
Enjoy iOS 14 everyone. Battery test will be out in a few days.
