iSpeed TestπŸ“±
iOS 13.7 vs. iOS 14
iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone XR
πŸ—£iOS 14 does performs much like we have seen on all the betas so far. Which has been pretty good. The UI seems to be running pretty well even on the older devices. There are some delay in boot speed on the oldest devices, but not much. Apps load similar to iOS 13.7, and in some cases a tiny bit faster. Benchmark tests are also almost on par. But HTML5 does not run as smooth on iOS 14. It is clearly visible in the scores, but also if you look at the last run with the dropping balls. There a visible lag on iOS 14 that is not there on iOS 13. Also still issues with Geekbench 5 on iPhone 8 and XR multicore score. But I ran a Geekbench 4 test on these devices, and here it outperformed iOS 13.7. So I guess Geekbench 5 needs an update.
Enjoy iOS 14 everyone. Battery test will be out in a few days.
