iSpeed Test📱
iOS 13.5.1 vs. iOS 13.6 Beta 2
iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone XR
🗣 iOS 13.6 B2 has not changed much, it still looks very good in terms of performance. Benchmark tests are mostly in favour of iOS 13.5.1, though, especially the HTML5 test, where iOS 13.6 Beta 2 gets the short end of the stick in all but one test. UI in iO still performans snappy and more or less the same or better that what we are seeing on iOS 13.5.1. So over all a good still a good beta release for sure, but hopefully they will bring those HTML5 score back up.
Hopefully it will only get better as it nears its release.

📱iOS 14 Beta 1 📺
Build - 18A5301v was released on 22 Jun, 2020 for:
• iPhone SE(2G), 11, 11 Pro/Max, XR, XS/Max, X, 8/8+, 7/7+, SE, 6s/6s+
• iPad 7G, 6G, 5G
• iPad mini 5, 4
• iPad Air 3, 2
• iPad Pro 12.9(3G), 10.5, 9.7, 11, 12.9(2G), 12.9(1G)
• iPod Touch 7G.

New Features & Changes:
• You can now search for Emojis within the Emoji keyboard
• In Siri settings you can choose to (1) Always show speech, (2) Always show Siri captions, to provide visual feedback
• In Phone settings you can choose between full-screen and banner-style incoming calls
• When apps access the mic or camera, a colored dot appears to the right of the notch. Swiping down the control center provides an explanation of what app recently accessed the camera or mic
• Settings / FaceTime has a new "Eye Contact" option. "Establish natural eye contact while on FaceTime"
• Drag one widget onto another of the same size and they turn into a stack
• Settings / Camera has a new "Mirror front camera" option (I assume so that the photo matches what's on the screen)
• Revamped Siri voice in Turkish, now with option for male voice.

New Issues:
• Favourites don't show on Phone or Facetime when long-pressing the app icon. Messages doesn't show the most recent. I remember the same happening during the first few iOS 13 betas as well
• Favourites widget is missing - hope it comes back
• It's in the release notes but ... Homekit control of my Hue lights takes a few restarts to get it to work
• Multiple users are reporting excessive storage (30-60GB) being used by 'System' and 'Other' under Settings>General>iPhone Storage after doing an in-place upgrade from iOS 13
• You cannot select multiple emails by 'swiping' them while under 'Edit' mode in Mail.app
• Currently not possible to place an app inside a folder when the folder is at the right hand side of a line. The folder jumps beyond the app
• App icons sometimes disappear (Fix: drag them back from the App Library)
• Opening email from a banner displays a blank page
• The ability to add/remove custom Widgets in this beta is removed
• Adding widgets to home screen or to an existing smart stack can cause all folders to be removed leaving all apps unorganised across multiple screens.

Resolved Issues:
• When Settings / Sounds "Change with buttons" is on, ending a FaceTime speakerphone call would change the ringer volume to match the media playback volume. This is fixed! This bugged me all through iOS 13 although no-one else seemed to care or notice
• First new emails that come in after turning the phone on now notify properly. For me in iOS 13, the first lot of new emails never played the alert sound
• Swiping left to clear a mail notification no longer clears all the other new mails too.

iSpeed Test📱
iOS 13.5.1 vs. iOS 14 Beta 1
iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone XR
🗣 iOS 14 Beta 1 runs surprisingly smooth. So far regarding compatibility of apps on my personal device I have yet to find an app that does not work, even banking apps, which normally fail with a new release works. Also the UI does see to be very close to that of iOS 13.5.1, not many hickups and lags. Some are there but still if you ask me very impressive for a beta 1. Benchmark… well SE and 6S where more or less on par. 7, 8 and XR was struggling on multicore performance. I ran the test off camera on these devices again, and it did repeat so do not think it was a glitch. But this is hopefully something that will be worked out as the betas keep coming from now until final release end September.
