👋 Meet Israr Muhammad , a fourth-year medical student from Pakistan 🇵🇰studying at MRSU. In an interview with our university magazine, he shared insights into his experiences and motivations:

🇵🇰🇷🇺Cultural Differences Between Pakistan and Russia:
Israr highlighted the distinct contrasts between the two countries, particularly in terms of holidays, climate, cuisine, and traditions. In Pakistan, festivals like Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha are celebrated with communal prayers and festive meals featuring dishes such as biryani and kebabs. He also mentioned the Basant spring festival, characterized by kite flying and outdoor festivities.

🏢Choosing Ogarev Mordovia State University:
When deciding where to pursue his medical education, Israr discovered Mordovia State University and was drawn to its general medicine program. He appreciates the university's excellent faculty, who introduce students to modern treatment methods and emphasize the importance of patient communication. Israr believes that compassion is fundamental in medicine, stating, "The strength of a doctor lies in his heart."

👌Challenges and Adaptation:
Adjusting to a new educational system and overcoming the language barrier were initial challenges for Israr. He actively participated in language courses and engaged with fellow students to improve his proficiency. Developing effective time management strategies, such as creating structured schedules and setting weekly goals, also helped him adapt. Additionally, acclimating to Russia's colder climate was difficult at first, but over time, he became accustomed to it.

📚🏏Hobbies and Interests:
Beyond his studies, Israr enjoys reading historical novels to learn about different cultures, playing cricket to stay active and socialize, and traveling to explore new places. He also values participating in university events and experiencing local culture and cuisine.

🎓 Career Guidance Event in Ashgabat: Opening New Horizons for Youth

🗣On March 29, 2025, a large-scale career guidance event took place in Ashgabat, aimed at helping high school and college students explore various career paths and make informed decisions about their futures.

✨Participants included students from grades 10–11, as well as vocational and technical institutions. They had the unique opportunity to learn about in-demand professions and educational opportunities in Russia.

🔴The event was opened by Mr. Dmitry Filetkin, Vice-Rector for International Affairs at Ogarev Mordovia State University (MRSU). He spoke about study options and admission conditions at the university.

🔝 Experts from different fields shared valuable insights:
- L.V. Chegodaeva and L.I. Kitaeva introduced opportunities in medical education.
- O.E. Zheleznikova, Director of the Institute of Electronics and Lighting Engineering, and D.V. Baikov highlighted current trends in technology and engineering.
- N.V. Burenina, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, emphasized the growing importance of language skills in today’s global job market.

🔣The event featured a teleconference between Ashgabat and Saransk, allowing direct interaction with university experts and enriching the dialogue between the two cities.

📚Prospective students received detailed information on admission procedures, entrance exams, and accommodation for international students at MRSU — crucial topics for those interested in pursuing higher education in Russia.
