🇮🇶 "Distance is no obstacle when it comes to education"Zain Al-abideen from Iraq shares his journey at Mordovia State University!

🏢Every year, students from around the world choose Mordovia State University as their academic home — and among them is Al-Khafaji Zain Al-abideen Asaad, a future doctor from Iraq, a country known for its rich culture and ancient heritage.

🩺 In an inspiring interview, Zain talks about his passion for medicine, the challenges of adapting to a new country, and what keeps him motivated.

"A friend recommended this university to me. He told me that the education is excellent, and Saransk is a peaceful and comfortable city to live in. That was very important to me."

💬 Zain reflects on cultural differences, such as celebrating Eid al-Fitr with traditional dishes like dolma and baklava, and how hospitality is deeply rooted in Iraqi society.

Despite initial challenges with climate, culture, and a new educational system, Zain found his rhythm:

"At first, it was difficult. But later, I learned to manage my time better, made friends, and began to understand how everything works."

🎶 Outside of his studies, Zain is passionate about music, poetry, cooking, reading, and even football! He believes in lifelong learning and staying positive.

"Don't be afraid of making mistakes – they're part of the learning process. Believe in yourself and never give up on your dreams."
