From one stage to another β€” and now, all eyes on Kazan 🧑

March 31 also marked the starting point for a new InteRussia fellowship β€” this time in Electric Power, bringing young professionals from Africa and MENA region to Kazan State Power Engineering University.

And before the participants could even catch their breath β€” they have already stepped straight into the pulse of the Kazan International Energy Forum Energoprom, joining discussions, exploring technologies, and connecting with key players shaping the future of energy.

✏️Catch the first glimpses from the site, where the fellows were welcomed by the Rais of Tatarstan.

The Energoprom’s second day β€” and the pace is picking up πŸ’‘

Today unfolded as Youth Day at the Kazan International Energy Forum Energoprom β€” a space where early-career professionals and future engineers step into the conversation shaping the energy sector.

As part of the program, our fellows met with Roman Marshavin, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, taking a closer look at how the industry really runs.

What happens when the conversation gets real? 🌎

Our international relations and oriental studies fellows met with

πŸ”΅Feodor Lukyanov, Editor-in-Chief of "Russia in Global Affairs" journal, Chairman of the Presidium of the Council for Foreign and Defense Policy, and
πŸ”΅Dmitri Trenin, Academic Supervisor of the Institute of World Military Economy and Strategy at HSE University, RIAC President.

It quickly became clear that this was not about listening quietly in the back row, but about stepping into a space where arguments matter more than agreement.

At the center of the discussion:

πŸ”Ήa world and global institutions no longer held together by familiar rules;
πŸ”Ήwhat remains of liberalism and what is taking shape in its place;
πŸ”Ήhow Russia interprets and acts within today’s international system;
πŸ”Ήstrategic stability in a time when predictability is no longer guaranteed.

No simplified narratives. No final conclusions. Just an honest attempt to make sense of the ability to think in uncertainty β€” and speak within it.
