BES seizes vaping products worth UAH 30 mln from shop network in Kyiv and region

Detectives from the Bureau of Economic Security (BES) of Ukraine have exposed a group of individuals who organised the illegal production and sale of e-cigarette liquids through an extensive network of vape shops in Kyiv region, the agency's official website said.

The investigation established that from 2023, a scheme for selling so-called "self-mixes" - liquids produced outside state control - had been operating in Kyiv and Kyiv region. The goods were sold in physical shops and via online platforms with delivery across Ukraine.

Budanov: Defense buildup, reindustrialization are vital for Ukraine's survival

Russia damages 209 locomotives, 239 passenger cars of Ukrzaliznytsia in 2025, Q 1 2026

Since the beginning of 2025, Russia has intensified attacks on Ukrzaliznytsia's operating assets, leading to increased capital expenditures, disruption of operations, and restrictions on freight and passenger transportation throughout Ukraine, according to the company's stock exchange presentation on limited negotiations on the restructuring of its Eurobonds.

According to it, 209 locomotives were damaged in 2025 and the first quarter of 2026 (1st half of 2025 – 9, 2nd half of 2025 – 119 and 1st quarter of 2026 – 81).

One killed, two injured in drone attack in Kherson region

Russian occupying forces struck a civilian car with a drone in the village of Chereshenky, Kherson region, killing one man and injuring two others, regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin said.

"In the village of Chereshenky, a man was killed after a Russian drone struck a civilian car. The relevant services are currently establishing the identity of the deceased," he said on Telegram on Monday.

Accordbank becomes 16th bank accredited by UEEX to provide guarantees for participation in electricity auctions

Accordbank has joined the list of banks accredited by Ukrainian Energy Exchange (UEEX) LLC and authorized to provide bank guarantees for participation in auctions for the sale of electricity under bilateral agreements.

"The accreditation of new banks is ongoing. Given the interest of other banks and their clients in collaborating with UEEX in this market segment, a counter-guarantee system is being implemented," the Exchange announced on its website on Monday.

Kyiv steps up demolition of illegal temporary structures – city administration

Kyivblahoustrii utility company has demolished a retail outlet on Holosiivsky Avenue after reviewing the legality of its placement. According to law enforcement authorities, the site was part of a scheme for the illegal production, storage, transportation and sale of liquids for electronic cigarettes, Kyiv City State Administration said.

"City services, together with law enforcement agencies, are inspecting facilities used for illegal trade. In particular, the department reviewed a request from the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine regarding the legality of a retail outlet on Holosiivsky Avenue. According to law enforcement, illegally manufactured excisable goods, including liquids for electronic cigarettes, were sold there," the administration said on Telegram on Monday.

Ministry proposes minimum daily household waste service rates

Ukraine's Communities and Territories Development Ministry has published a draft order proposing minimum daily standards for household waste management services in communities where measurements of household waste volumes have not yet been carried out.

According to the draft document, the minimum daily standards for household waste management services would apply in cases where such services are being provided in a community for the first time and there is no actual data available to measure waste volumes.

Unmanned Systems Forces hit Russian chemical plant in Cherepovets

Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces struck Russia's Cherepovets-Azot plant in Vologda region, which produces, among other things, components for explosives, Unmanned Systems Forces Commander Robert "Madyar" Brovdi said.

"'Happy Apatit' to the Cherepovets chemical plant – the Birds of the Unmanned Systems Forces have delivered their household Easter eggs. It is a giant chemical worm that produces hundreds of thousands of tonnes of ammonia, nitrate and nitric acid a year. Its products serve as raw materials for the production of TNT, hexogen and other components used in munitions manufacturing," Madyar said on Telegram on Monday.

Russia struck 45 settlements in one day: 86-year-old woman and teenager wounded

Over the course of the day, Russian forces launched 875 strikes against 45 settlements in Zaporizhia region, wounding two civilians – an 86-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl, said regional military administration head Ivan Fedorov.

"76 reports were received of damage to infrastructure, residential buildings and vehicles," reads the statement published in his Telegram channel on Tuesday morning.

Magyar announces intent to meet Zelenskyy and normalize relations with Ukraine

Belgium allocates EUR 1 bln in defense aid to Ukraine, confirms delivery of F-16s; Spain – EUR 1 bln of support – Fedorov

Following conversations with the defense ministers of Belgium and Spain, Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced that Belgium is allocating EUR 1 billion in defense aid to Ukraine this year and confirmed its intention to provide additional F-16 fighter jets, while Spain is also providing EUR 1 billion in support of Ukraine.

"I have held discussions with the Defense Ministers of Belgium, Theo Francken, and Spain, Margarita Robles. We coordinated key areas of cooperation – strengthening air defense, developing drone capabilities, and the ‘Czech initiative’ to provide the front with long-range artillery," reads a message posted on Telegram on Monday evening.

Russia drone attacks strike Mykolaiv energy infrastructure, causing power outages

In Mykolaiv region, Russia UAV and FPV drone attacks damaged energy and civilian infrastructure, leaving several settlements without electricity, Mykolaiv OVA head Vitaliy Kim reported.

"Yesterday evening, the enemy attacked the region with Shahed 131/136 type UAVs. Energy infrastructure facilities were hit. As a result of the attack, three settlements in the Mykolaiv district were de-energized," the OVA head’s report, published on Telegram on Tuesday morning, says.

Zelenskyy signs law extending military levy for three years after end of martial law

Apartment fraud worth tens of millions uncovered in Bucha - official

An apartment fraud scheme has been uncovered in Bucha, Kyiv region: two heads of housing construction cooperatives who offered investments in the alleged construction of multi-story buildings have been served with suspicion notices, with veterans and internally displaced persons among the victims, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko said.

"Bucha, a city that continues to recover after the occupation. And it is here that certain individuals decided to profit from others’ misfortune. Veterans became victims of the scheme, as did those who had already lost their homes due to the war: internally displaced persons. People invested their last savings into new housing and received deception in return," the prosecutor general wrote on Telegram on Tuesday.
