Europe's first Unity Center for Ukrainians to open in Berlin on April 15 – Ministry of Social Policy

Starting April 15, the first Unity Center (Unity Hub) for Ukrainians in Europe will begin operations in Berlin, offering consultations on returning home as well as educational and cultural events, the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity reports.

"According to the latest Eurostat data, over 4.3 million Ukrainians are under temporary protection in EU countries, with the largest number—1.2 million—residing in Germany. In this context, Unity Centers for Ukrainians abroad are a vital element of the policy to maintain our citizens’ connection with Ukraine and facilitate their return home," the ministry statement says.

SBU urges citizens to be vigilant and follow safety rules during Easter

The State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) is recording regular attempts by Russia to destabilize the situation within Ukraine, particularly on the eve of and during major religious holidays such as Easter, and urges Ukrainians to be vigilant and observe safety rules.

"Despite the statements of Russia about a so-called ‘truce,’ enemy special services have not abandoned their plans, continuing to work against Ukraine and resorting to information-psychological special operations, provocations, terrorist acts, and sabotage," the SBU noted on its Telegram channel on Friday.

SES receives batch of generators and trucks from Serhiy Prytula Foundation

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) has received technical assistance from the Serhiy Prytula Humanitarian Foundation, the SES press service reports.

"When Russia tries to plunge us into darkness, we become even more autonomous! The Serhiy Prytula Humanitarian Foundation has handed over technical reinforcements to rescuers that are impressive in scale: 7 ultra-powerful generators on trailers (with capacities ranging from 1 to 1.7 MW); and 2 Iveco trucks for the prompt transport of resources to where they are needed most," the message on the Telegram channel states.

Lukich, Badoiev, Ruban, Gudimov, Uryvsky, and Troitsky join Thousand Spring program experts – Bereznha

Experts for the "Thousand Spring" cultural product support program will include film director Antonio Lukich, director Alan Badoiev, animation director Oleksandra Ruban, musician Pavlo Gudimov, and theater directors Ivan Uryvsky and Vladyslav Troitsky, announced Tetiana Berezhna, Vice Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy and Minister of Culture of Ukraine.

"In the second stage, experts will evaluate the applications that passed. Among these experts are individuals with outstanding achievements in Ukrainian culture… These people know which projects are successful and whether an applicant can create a successful project," Berezhna said during a telethon.

About 12% of Ukrainians order food delivery at least once a week

In Ukraine, 12% of people aged 18-65 order food delivery at least once a week, and 28% of those who use delivery do so through mobile applications, according to a study by the online service Bolt Food.

According to the results, 89% of Ukrainians are ready to choose the same dish if they like its taste.

Man wounded due to Russia shelling in Zaporizhia region

A man sustained injuries due to an enemy attack, reported Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration.

"Enemy strike on Zaporizhia district. A civilian car came under fire. A 55-year-old man was injured; he is receiving assistance," he wrote on Telegram.

Lifetime PEP status in Ukraine turns from anti-corruption tool into instrument of discrimination by banks against honest officials

The lifetime status of politically exposed persons (PEPs) in Ukraine, which was introduced under the slogans of uncompromising борьба against corruption and money laundering, has in practice turned into a tool of bureaucracy and discrimination against honest officials, according to Taras Kovalsky, head of corporate practice and partner at the law firm Alekseev, Boyarchukov and Partners.

"Instead of identifying shadow empires, the system produces meaningless bureaucracy, institutional sabotage, and discrimination against honest officials, while violating fundamental civil rights. Banks openly sabotage remote services for PEPs. Services for opening accounts, including via Diia, which are advertised as mass and innovative, are blocked for former officials by artificial technical refusals such as ‘try again later,’" he said.

Defense Minister: Anti-drone cover boosted on two key Donetsk routes

Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said more than 25 kilometers of anti-drone protection is being built on two strategically important routes in Donetsk region.

In a Telegram post, the minister said the State Special Transport Service, acting on the Defense Ministry’s instructions, is continuing to deploy anti-drone protection in frontline regions.

Cabinet allocates UAH 1.1 bln JICA grant for demining, medical aid

Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers is allocating UAH 1.1 billion (JPY 4 billion) in grant funding from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for demining and medical assistance, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said.

"The State Emergency Service will receive equipment worth UAH 984 million to strengthen sappers’ capabilities, from demining machinery and protective gear to public training in mine safety rules. Another UAH 140 million will go toward equipping medical facilities in the Interior Ministry system. This includes equipment for the treatment and rehabilitation of the wounded, including those with mine-blast injuries," Svyrydenko said on Telegram.

Kyiv backup power pilot for apartment blocks open for applications through April 15

Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers, by Resolution No. 353 dated March 20, 2026, has launched a pilot project to install backup power systems in apartment buildings in Kyiv, with applications for participation open until April 15.

The aim of the pilot project is to ensure electricity supply for life-support systems in apartment buildings during emergency and scheduled outages. Buildings will be able to install generators, battery systems, inverters and other equipment to keep critical systems operating without interruption.

Ukraine, Germany preparing major air defense boost, new combat data-sharing formats

Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov held a working call with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius as part of preparations for the next Ramstein-format meeting, scheduled for April 15.

"Together with Germany, we are preparing a number of joint projects: a significant strengthening of air defense; additional financing for drones, in particular in the deep-strike and middle-strike areas; development of joint technological solutions; and new formats for sharing combat data. We are also expanding cooperation in innovative areas, including projects related to laser technologies," Fedorov said on Telegram on Friday.

Former Kyiv Customs deputy suspected of laundering over $2 mln through Bukovel hotel – SAPO

A prosecutor from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) and detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) have served a notice of suspicion on a former deputy head of Kyiv Customs, who was allegedly caught laundering more than $2 million invested in the construction of a hotel complex at the Bukovel resort.

"The official built and commissioned a hotel complex with a restaurant in the village of Polianytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk region, in 2020-2021. In total, he invested more than $2 million in the construction, funds that had no legal confirmation given the family's official income," SAPO said on Facebook on Friday.

Defense forces attack oil depots in Russia's Tver and oil pipeline station in Kuban

Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, reported strikes on an oil depot and pipeline station in Russia on Saturday night.

"Russia was under attack last night. There were attacks in the city of Tver. Oil depots are located there, among other things. Also, the Krymskaya oil pipeline station in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai was attacked – it’s been hit for the second time this week," Kovalenko wrote on Telegram on Saturday.

Ukraine's air defense shoot down 133 of 160 drones, hits of 20 drones recorded at ten locations

The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed 133 of 160 enemy drones, but recorded hits on 20 attack drones at 10 locations and downed drones at 11, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

"According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 133 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas type and other types of drones in the north, south and east of the country," the message reads.

In Sumy, 14 people were injured as a result of a drone strike on a residential building, reported Oleh Hryhorov, head of Sumy Regional State Administration.

"Fourteen Sumy residents were injured as a result of enemy drone strikes on residential buildings today. Among the wounded was a 14-year-old boy. He received the necessary medical care on the spot," he wrote on Telegram on Saturday night....

Two killed and two wounded: Russian drones strike Odesa

Two people were killed and two were injured as a result of another Russian drone attack on Odesa, said Chief of the State Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak.
