The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Orest Mandziy as head of the State Customs Service, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said.
"The relevant submission was made by Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko following an open competition. We expect the new head to continue the customs service reform and build a modern, transparent and efficient customs system that supports the financial stability of the state," Svyrydenko wrote on Telegram.

The Security Service of Ukraine has documented new war crimes by officials of Russia’s occupying administration in the temporarily seized territory of Donetsk region who were involved in the mass deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia, the SBU said.
"The individuals are Mykhailo Kushakov, a citizen of the aggressor state and so-called ‘ex-minister of education and science of the DPR’, and two accomplices: Oleksiy Kulemzin, head of the ‘DPR administration of the city of Donetsk’, and Raisa Prylypko, director of the Teremok Children’s Home No. 1 seized by the Russian forces," the Ukrainian security service said on its Telegram channel on Friday.

Kherson region resident wounded by Russian drone in late March dies – official
A man who sustained serious injuries on March 31 as a result of a Russian drone attack on the village of Darivka has died in the hospital, announced Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
"For over 10 days, medics fought for the life of the 76-year-old local resident. Unfortunately, the injuries proved fatal," he wrote on Telegram.

A delegation from the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine visited the Permanent Bureau of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH), where it presented the updated functionality of the Electronic Register of Apostilles (e-APP), which officially launched in Ukraine on March 2, 2026.
"The delegation of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, headed by Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitization Olha Riabukha, visited the Permanent Bureau of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH). The purpose of the visit was to present the updated functionality of the Electronic Register of Apostilles (e-APP), which officially started operating in Ukraine on March 2, 2026. During the first month of operation, 30,744 apostilles were issued through the updated Register. Annually, Ministry of Justice bodies alone issue about 400,000 apostilles, which accounts for approximately 65% of the total volume," a report on the ministry’s website reads.

Europe's first Unity Center for Ukrainians to open in Berlin on April 15 – Ministry of Social Policy
Starting April 15, the first Unity Center (Unity Hub) for Ukrainians in Europe will begin operations in Berlin, offering consultations on returning home as well as educational and cultural events, the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity reports.
"According to the latest Eurostat data, over 4.3 million Ukrainians are under temporary protection in EU countries, with the largest number—1.2 million—residing in Germany. The State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) is recording regular attempts by Russia to destabilize the situation within Ukraine, particularly on the eve of and during major religious holidays such as Easter, and urges Ukrainians to be vigilant and observe safety rules.

Banks openly sabotage remote services for PEPs. Services for opening accounts, including via Diia, which are advertised as mass and innovative, are blocked for former officials by artificial technical refusals such as ‘try again later,’" he said.

Cabinet allocates UAH 1.1 bln JICA grant for demining, medical aid
Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers is allocating UAH 1.1 billion (JPY 4 billion) in grant funding from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for demining and medical assistance, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said.
"The State Emergency Service will receive equipment worth UAH 984 million to strengthen sappers’ capabilities, from demining machinery and protective gear to public training in mine safety rules. Another UAH 140 million will go toward equipping medical facilities in the Interior Ministry system. This includes equipment for the treatment and rehabilitation of the wounded, including those with mine-blast injuries," Svyrydenko said on Telegram.

Kyiv backup power pilot for apartment blocks open for applications through April 15
Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers, by Resolution No. 353 dated March 20, 2026, has launched a pilot project to install backup power systems in apartment buildings in Kyiv, with applications for participation open until April 15.

Former Kyiv Customs deputy suspected of laundering over $2 mln through Bukovel hotel – SAPO
A prosecutor from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) and detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) have served a notice of suspicion on a former deputy head of Kyiv Customs, who was allegedly caught laundering more than $2 million invested in the construction of a hotel complex at the Bukovel resort.
"The official built and commissioned a hotel complex with a restaurant in the village of Polianytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk region, in 2020-2021. In total, he invested more than $2 million in the construction, funds that had no legal confirmation given the family's official income," SAPO said on Facebook on Friday.
