A fourth person has died from artillery shelling by Russia in the Korabelny district, reported head of the Kherson City Military Administration Yaroslav Shanko.

"Information has emerged about another Kherson resident who received fatal injuries as a result of shelling of the Korabelny district by Russian troops around 11:00. His identity is currently being established by the relevant services," he wrote on Telegram....

Russia strikes gas networks 52 times in Donetsk region over one week – Naftogaz

Between March 30 and April 5, Russia carried out 52 strikes on gas networks in the Donetsk region, leaving 436 households without gas supply, Naftogaz Group reported on its Telegram channel on Tuesday.

"Gas supply has already been restored to 147 families. Gas workers from Donetskoblgaz are working to restore it," the company said.

Five people were injured as a result of a second strike today by Russia on a regular bus in Nikopol district, reported head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Lysak on Tuesday.

"In the Chervonohryhorivka community, a minibus serving an intercity route was damaged. A woman and four men were injured. Medics are providing the victims with all necessary assistance," Lysak wrote on Telegram....

URCS sets up support points for those affected by Russian drone attack in Kharkiv

The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) has set up support points for those affected by the Russian drone attack in the city of Kharkiv.

"Yesterday, at all the strike locations in Kharkiv, the rapid response unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society in Kharkiv region was on duty… On site, URCS support points were deployed where victims could charge their mobile phones, drink water or hot beverages, and have a snack," the organization reported on Facebook on Tuesday.

Russia's war in Ukraine kills 16 Cameroonian citizens – media

Cameroon's Foreign Minister Lejeune Mbella Mbella announced on state television that 16 Cameroonian citizens died fighting for Russia in Ukraine, a fact confirmed by the Russian consulate in the capital Yaounde, Clash Report has said.

Cameroon stated on Tuesday that Russian authorities confirmed the deaths of 16 Cameroonians working as "military contractors." The Cameroonian Foreign Ministry published a list of the deceased.

Russia strikes Donets-Zakharzhevsky estate, fire breaks out in architectural monument

Russian forces struck the Donets-Zakharzhevsky estate in Velykyi Burluk, Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region, which is an architectural monument, reported head of the district military administration Andriy Kanashevych.

"The 19th-century architectural monument, the Donets-Zakharzhevsky estate, completed around 1835, which survived the turbulent 20th century, two terrible world wars, and the Soviet era with its hatred of national memory, was destroyed on April 7, 2026, by the same horde invasion," Kanashevych wrote on Facebook.

Ukrainian insurers continue to offer war risk coverage despite losses

Insurers are continuing to offer war risk coverage services to an increasing number of companies and individuals, although this line of business remains unprofitable, with a combined ratio of 111.11%, according to the Insurance Market Review for 2025 prepared by the National Association of Insurers of Ukraine (NAIU).

War risk insurance, in particular, contributed to a 30% increase in insurance premiums in property lines, directly linked to public demand for coverage of real estate against the consequences of war. At the same time, 75% of clients are legal entities. Ukrainian businesses are actively seeking protection and are finding it through attracting foreign reinsurance capacity, including from global giants such as Lloyd's of London.

Ukraine is launching a new STEPS survey on risk factors for noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), which will provide up-to-date data on the prevalence of key NCD risk factors.

Speaking at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday, Tetiana Skapa, Director of the Public Health Department of the Ministry of Health, said the new study will continue monitoring the health status of Ukrainians following the first STEPS round conducted in 2019.

As part of the Drone Detector Rental Library initiative, the Daily Humanity Foundation has handed over ten Tsukorok drone detectors to Suspilne News for permanent use while carrying out professional duties in the field.

Daily Humanity launches drone detector rental library in Ukraine

The Drone Detector Rental Library has been launched in Ukraine, providing verified personnel with free access to 50 Tsukorok drone detectors for use while carrying out professional duties in the field.

According to Daily Humanity Foundation Executive Director and board member Kateryna Serhatskova, "the detectors available for rent are personal devices needed not only by every serviceman, but also by those working on the front line: journalists, humanitarian workers and critical infrastructure staff operating in high-risk areas."

Air Assault: Russian forces move artillery toward Pokrovsk area, small-arms fighting continues in Hryshyne

Russian forces are increasing the amount of long-range artillery in the area of responsibility of the seventh Rapid Response Corps of Ukraine's Air Assault Forces as they try to intensify their offensive in Pokrovsk urban area, the corps command said.

"The enemy is hiding artillery both in tree lines and in private residential areas. Understanding the enemy's logic, the Defense Forces are detecting and destroying Russian guns. Over the past 24 hours alone, Ukrainian troops damaged and destroyed five enemy artillery pieces near Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. Despite constant pressure from the enemy, units in the area of responsibility of the seventh Rapid Response Corps continue to hold positions in the northern part of Pokrovsk," the corps said on Telegram.

Ukraine's IT market reaches $7.85 bln, with 2,200 active companies – Ministry of Digital Transformation

The total volume of Ukraine's IT market stands at $7.85 billion, with the technology sector accounting for nearly half of the country's total services exports (41.6%), the Ministry of Digital Transformation reported, citing its "Code of the Economy" study.

According to the study, Ukraine currently has more than 305,000 IT specialists and 2,200 active companies. Together with related sectors, the industry supports more than 800,000 jobs across the country.

Former acting Culture Minister Rostyslav Karandieiev has said that, as head of the ministry, he signed letters to the State Border Guard Service seeking approval for Ukrainian artists to travel abroad, but that some of those requests later turned out to be fraudulent.

"My involvement in this case is very simple – at one time, as head of the ministry, I signed letters on behalf of the Culture Ministry to the State Border Guard Service requesting approval for Ukrainian artists to travel abroad. As it turned out, among the legitimate requests there were also fraudulent ones," Karandieiev said in a comment to Interfax-Ukraine....

Ukraine to launch IACS agricultural control system by end-2026 to align with EU rules – minister

Ukraine's Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture plans to complete by the end of 2026 the creation of the Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS) as a subsystem of the State Agrarian Register (SAR), Deputy Minister Taras Vysotsky said in an interview with delo.ua.

Vysotsky said that the government plan foresees the introduction of IACS to administer agricultural support in line with the principles of the EU's Common Agricultural Policy. It is expected that as early as 2026, 80% of state support in Ukraine will be provided through the SAR. By that time, the organizational model of the Paying Agency must be prepared.
