https://hbr.org/2021/10/5-things-high-performing-teams-do-differently

Are you doing these 5 simple tasks to uplift your team?

New research published by @Harvard Business Review suggests that engineering high-performing teams require creating opportunities for genuine, authentic relationships to develop. The research lists five key characteristics of high-performing teams:
They are not afraid to pick up the phone
They are more strategic with their meetings
They invest time bonding over non-work topics
They give and receive appreciation more frequently
They are more authentic at work

Not sure how to go about implementing this? Since 2017, The Serving Leader seminar has provided leaders of over 65 charities and social service agencies with the practical strategies to create a high-performance culture in their organisations.

Register for the 22nd edition of the seminar, happening this February 24 to 25: bit.ly/3qdtPAG

How do you confidently approach every project with a plan for success?

A great obstacle is to complete a project on time and with a tight budget. Even clearly defined projects can grow too complex, spinning out of control, losing their way and morphing into something they were never intended to be. Projects include:
1. Changing the culture of care.
2. Undertaking research or audit.
3. Development of new services or decommissioning of old services.
4. Outsourcing of key processes involved in delivering care such as training, finance and human resource management.
5. Changing protocols used in the provision of care to service users.

If these projects look familiar to you, our workshop will get you up to speed on the latest, most effective project-management techniques and strategies available. You will also learn practical project-management how-to's, tools and tips that will help you save time, money and effort.

Earlier this year, we concluded our pilot run of Dashboard for Non-Profit Organisations. Four NPOs joined Dr Isabel Sim over two days, learning how to illustrate and track progress towards charity goals with clarity and simplicity. Specifically, they:

1. Conducted pre-work to understand their charity's key business drivers,
2. Discovered the process of developing a dashboard,
3. Understood the workflow, roles and responsibilities for the board and its subcommittees developing in-house, and
4. Gained practical experience in developing dashboards that monitor the progress of (i) programmes, fundraising, financial indicators, and volunteer management.

"A good balance of concepts and practice. The class size is effective as it allows proper facilitator. Rinkoo was able to draw out the key learning points from all participants. This is a quality course!"

Earlier this April, we concluded our Communication with Empathy in-house training with HSBC, impacting over 64 participants across six runs. Led by Dr Rinkoo Ghosh, participants learnt the influential art of communicating with empathy to develop trust with their coworkers and other stakeholders. They also managed complexities by recognising unmet needs and issues in written and verbal communications.

All participants felt that the course achieved its objectives and met their personal expectations, and 98% of participants would recommend this course.
