So let's break down the Redmi Note 15 and compare it to its predecessor, the Redmi Note 14 4G.
Body:
As you very well know, I am not a fan of aesthetics so I won't dwell too much on this area. All I'll say is that the Redmi Note 15 4G is slightly lighter and has slightly better water splash and dust protection (IP64) than the Redmi Note 14 4G (IP54). They also changed the camera bump as well but that's it. Nothing to see here, let's move along.

Display:
The Redmi Note 15 4G ships with a curved 6.77" FHD AMOLED with 120Hz refresh rate and 3200 nits. This screen is slightly bigger than the 6.67" on its predecessor, it's also brighter and it is curved.

I'll gladly concede here that even though I am absolutely not moved by the curved screen, this can be seen as an improvement on some fronts.
Performance
This is where I am usually at home. The Redmi Note 15 4G ships with a MediaTek Helio G100 which I have seen some people celebrate as a win for the Note series. However when you check the Redmi Note 14 4G, you'll see that there's a Helio G99 in it.

The MediaTek Helio G99 and G100 are essentially the same chip. The main difference between both of them is that the Helio G99 only supports 64MP cameras and the Helio G100 supports cameras of up to 108MP.
Cameras:
Both phones ship with a 108MP main camera and a 20MP selfie. They both record videos of 1080p@30/60fps.

Sound:
The two phones come with stereo speakers (tuned with Dolby Atmos). The Redmi Note 15 4G drops the 3.5mm jack whilst the Redmi Note 14 4G still keeps its own.

Comms and Features
Both phones share exactly the same specs such as the Fingerprint (under display, optical) scanner, accelerometer, gyro, compass, proximity. There's also WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, USB 2.0 etc.

Battery
The Redmi Note 15 4G ships with a 6000mAh battery which is 500mAh bigger than the 5500mAh battery on the Redmi Note 14 4G.

This then leads me to my question, do we really need a Redmi Note 15 4G?
When you look at both phones, besides the curved screen and the slightly larger 500mAh battery capacity, there is really no justifiable reason to drop your Redmi Note 14 4G for a Redmi Note 15 4G.
The only justification for the Redmi Note 15 4G is that you might argue that it's people who have been using entry level or budget phones.
However that argument will fly out the window when you check the price. My detractors will argue that Note series aren't supposed to be cheap.
But for essentially what is a 2 year old phone with a curved screen, this phone is overpriced and the Redmi Note 14 4G can still do what it is capable of.
So we do not need a Redmi Note 15 4G. That's my humble submission. Looking forward to hearing from you. Goodnight and rest well
