This phone ships with an iPhone 17 orange aesthetic, curved glass and believe it or not, a fairly decent 5G processor and it's been making waves everywhere.
Essentially the message is that "if you cannot afford iPhone 17, you can and get this one" and trust me, I've seen people rushing this phone. However, is this a good phone or not? Let's dig into this device and find out.
Body
The Infinix Note Edge, despite its glitzy look, is built with a plastic frame and a plastic back. For all the loudness of its orange sheen, all it's got is IP65 water splash and dust protection.
That being said, it is rather light at 195g so it'll be easier to carry around. I guess that would be one of the benefits of having a plastic build.

Regardless of the criticism, I do understand the marketing message behind this phone and can forgive it. Aesthetics aren't really my thing anyway, maybe it is yours, I dunno. There are 4 other colours besides orange if you don't want to be so conspicuous.
Display
The Note Edge ships with a curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2644×1208p, 120Hz refresh rate, 4,500nits of peak brightness and 429ppi.

I have seen plenty of people argue that curved displays are new, modern and premium. I would strongly beg to defer because curved screens are over a decade old now at this point and are neither new nor modern.
However on its own merit, the display is very sharp, bright enough to handle the mid-day and is very fast. It gets a pass mark. The rest are just marketing rubbish.

Software
This phone ships with XoS 16 running on Android 16, and Infinix are promising up to 3 major Android upgrades.
I'm not a fan of XoS but there are people who like it so more power to them.

Performance
The SoC on this device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7100. It is a new SoC which was announced in January of this year (2026). It is essentially a slightly upgraded Dimensity 7050 with a better GPU.

The Dimensity 7100 is a 5G processor that is on the same level with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 or the Exynos 1380 in terms of pure performance. It is a very decent processor that's capable of putting out up to 580K on AnTuTu and almost 2900 (multi core) on GeekBench. It can handle most apps and tasks on Android with very little fuss and can do a lot with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
I have a feeling that the Dimensity 7000 series could become the new Helio G99 series of the lower mid-range very soon.

Camera & Video
Camera and video do not appear to be the Infinix Note Edge strong point as it has a 50MP main camera. It is capable of taking decent photos in daylight or bright light but will absolutely struggle in lowlight. It can also shoot 1080p (FHD) or 1440p (2K) video as well. In front, there's a 13MP selfie.

Photos, especially selfies and videos are not a strong point of this device at all.
Sound
There's a stereo speaker setup here and Infinix claims that it's tuned by JBL.

The battery sizes of smartphones have gone up a notch and the Note Edge doesn't disappoint here. It sports a 6500mAh battery with 45W of fast charge and a 10W reverse charging speed.

Summary and Verdict
This is your typical mid-range phone with a good display, a decent processor and a big battery with 45W of fast charge.
It will handle performance very well, display content accurately and would last long on a single charge with quick top ups.

Its main weaknesses is its average camera and its somewhat steep pricing. Beyond that, it's a decent smartphone. A 6/10 device if you will. It's not a machine or a flagship, when you strip the veneer and the hype away, it's a regular mid-range smartphone.
