From 4 to 8 August 2025, the Urgench branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies hosted the Summer School on Optical Communication for industrial engineers and young lecturers within the framework of the INMACOM project.
This five-day program was aimed at promoting advanced knowledge in optical communication and photonics, enhancing the skills of young specialists, and strengthening international cooperation.
The Summer School brought together distinguished professors, researchers, and industry experts from leading higher education institutions of Uzbekistan, industrial enterprises, and several foreign universities.

THE INMACOM PROJECT ONLINE CONSORTIUM MEETING TOOK PLACE ON September 23, 2025.
On September 23, 2025, an online consortium meeting of the INMACOM Project was held, hosted by Tashkent University of Information Technologies. The meeting was opened by Prof. Ahmed Yusupov (TUIT), who delivered a presentation on the organization of the INMACOM International Conference.
In addition, Prof. Khurshid Sattarov (TUIT) presented the draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the INMACOM project partners. Prof. Khabibullo Nasirov (TUIT) provided information on the preparation process and structure of the INMACOM book.
At the end of the meeting, general discussions were held on organizational issues within the project framework, future plans, and strengthening further cooperation.

On October 22, 2025, an online consortium meeting of the INMACOM Project was held, hosted by Tashkent University of Information Technologies. The meeting started at 07:30 Brussels time (10:30 Uzbekistan time) and was attended by project partners in an online format.
The meeting was opened by Prof. Ahmed Yusupov (TUIT), who delivered the introductory remarks and outlined the current progress of the project as well as the main objectives of the meeting. Subsequently, Prof. Ahmed Yusupov presented information on the special section planned within the framework of the INMACOM International Conference, highlighting its thematic focus, organizational aspects, and strategies for engaging participants.

Master’s Students of the National University of Uzbekistan and Samarkand State University Undertaking an International Internship at a Belgian University.
Within the framework of the ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2 (101083224) project “INMACOM: Innovative Master’s Program in Photonics and Optical Communications to Meet the Needs of the Telecommunications Labour Market in Uzbekistan,” master’s students from higher education institutions of Uzbekistan are undertaking a short-term international internship at one of the leading universities of the Kingdom of Belgium — Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).
In accordance with the project plan, master’s students of the National University of Uzbekistan, Dildora Shodieva and Okila Tozhaxmadova, as well as master’s students of the Institute of Engineering Physics of Samarkand State University — Solihboy Mahammadiyev and Biloliddin Iltizarov — are staying at VUB from October 20 to November 1, 2025.

The final Steering Committee Meeting (SCM) of the INMACOM Project (“Photonics and Optical Communications”) under the Erasmus+ program took place on December 3, 2025, at TATU.
Participants: Universities from Belgium, Italy, and Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, as well as representatives from NEO Uzbekistan.
