2025 ECOSOC Youth Forum
Background
Convened by the President of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the ECOSOC Youth Forum gathers young people from all horizons to contribute to policy discussions through their unique expertise, innovative ideas, and concrete solutions. The Forum provides a platform for representatives of youth-led and youth-focused organizations and networks to engage in a dialogue with Member States with a view to further advance young people’s own development as well as their contribution to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Forum will take place from 15 to 17 April 2025 in the United Nations Headquarters in New York City (USA).

The ECOSOC Youth Forum will focus on a theme that aligns with the 2025 High-level Political Forum (HLPF) on “Advancing sustainable, inclusive, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals for leaving no one behind.”

The United Nations Youth Office will support up to 15 young persons (18-35 years old) to participate in person at the ECOSOC Youth Forum.

Selection of eligible young persons will be made by the UN Youth Office with support of partners, including its Youth Reference group. Selection will consider gender balance, geographical representation and other under-represented youth.

Preference will be given to applicants with limited or no prior engagement with the UN. Additionally, please note that we are unable to sponsor youth who are currently under contract with the UN.

ከአነስተኛ የገንዘብ መጠን አንስቶ ሁሉም ኢትዮጵያዊ እንደየአቅሙ በአንድነት የሚሳተፍበት በአይነቱ ልዩ የሆነ የመዝናኛ ዝግጅት በሰይፉ ኦን ኢቢኤስ እና በሰይፉ ሾው ዩቲዩብ ጣቢያ በቀጥታ ይቀርባል።

ከፍተኛ ተወዳጅነት ያላቸው የኪነ ጥበብ ባለሙያዎች፤ የሃይማኖት አባቶች፤ ታዋቂ ግለሰቦች እና አባት እና ጀግኖች አርበኞች ተሳታፊ የሚሆኑበት የ24 ሰዓታት ልዩ የቀጥታ ስርጭት አዘጋጅተናል።

የአንድነት እና የሕብረት ተምሳሌት የሆነውን የዓድዋ ድል በዓል በመቄዶንያ ለማክበር ከወዲሁ ፕሮግራማችሁን እንድታስተካክሉ ጥሪያችንን እናቀርባለን!!

ከ5 ብር አንስቶ ሁሉም የአቅሙን ጠጠር በመጣል 129ኛውን የዓድዋ ድል በዓል በ129 ሚልየን ብር ስኬት እናክብር!

Initiation & Implementation of IERCs in Ethiopia. Alemayehu W.Kirkos

Hi Alex, I would like to thank you for sharing the insightful audio that highlights the important initiatives undertaken by the Ministry of Education (MoE) in Ethiopia to promote inclusive education. The audio effectively articulates the MoE's commitment to ensure equal access to quality education for all children, irrespective of their abilities and backgrounds.

I found the information compelling, as it demonstrates the various strategies and initiatives being implemented to guarantee that every child has the opportunity to learn and thrive in an inclusive environment, while also addressing the critical challenges that hinder inclusion.

I highly recommend that followers of this channel and others take the time to listen to this important content, because it provides valuable insights on the ongoing efforts being made to enhance educational equity in Ethiopia. Solomon Gizachew

Dear Solomon, thank you so much for your invaluable comments.I prepared this manuscript because of the questions raised from different NGOs and universities asking "when was the start of the establishment of IERCs in Ethiopia ? and what is their total Number now?

After preparing this manuscript I sent it to Dr. Belay Hagos. He appreciated the manuscript and made a contact with Ethiopian Journal of Education to be printed as 'a short communication'. I sent the manuscript to the concerned body however,the journal person in charge said that this is not an original work.It was amazing reply, I assure you that nobody has been written on this issue.
