I did make the moment eternal by capturing it in a likeness, which thou seest here. It doth appear fair, doth it not?

Yet mayhap it was not so fine as I had thought. In that time, I mused within mine heart—

As I gazed upon him who stood beside another, shall he and I
become we, or.... shall it never be?

And now, it hath been answered. For the nonce, he and I cannot become we. Cast away all those dreams.
