Ingliz tilida hozirgi davomli zamon ayni nutq paytida sodir bulayotgan ish harakatni ifodalaydi va ega, egadan keyin ko'makchi fe'l(am/is/are) va undan keyin asosiy fe'lni qo'yib fe'l asosiga -ing(- yapti) qo'shimchasini qo'shish orqali yasaladi.
So'roq shakli ko'makchi fe'lni egadan oldinga chiqarish orqali yasaladi.
Inkor shakli esa ko'makchi fe'ldan keyin "not" inkor ma'no bildiruvchi qo'shimchasini qo'shish orqali yasaladi.

Formulasi:
Darak shakli:

S(ega) + am/is/are + V(kesim)+ing.

Misol:
I am working.(men ishlayapman)
He is going.(u(o'gil bola) ketyapdi)

So'roq shakli:

Am/is/are + S + V+ing?

Misol:
Is he working?(u ishlayapdimi?)
Are you going?(siz ketyapsizmi?)

Inkor shakli:

S + am/is/are + not + V+ing.

Misol:
I am not working.(men ishlamayapman)
She is not going.(u(qiz yoki ayol) ketmayapdi.

Hozirgi oddiy zamon doimiy, takroriy ish harakat uchun ishlatiladi va ega, egadan keyin fe'l(ya'ni kesim) qo'yish orqali yasaladi. Hozirgi oddiy zamonda uchinchi shaxs birlikda fe'l asosiga "s" yoki "es" qo'shimchasini qo'shish orqali yasaladi. So'roq shakli "do" yoki "does" (do(du:)bajarmoq, does(da:z) esa do ga "es" qoshimchasi qo'shilgan shakli) ko'makchi fe'llarini egadan oldinga qo'yish orqali yasaladi. "Does" faqat uchinchi shaxs birlikdagi shaxs yoki narsalar uchun. Inkor shakli esa "do" yoki "does" ko'makchi fe'llariga "not" qo'shish orqali yasaladi.
