Clinical tips of the day


The acute of Sepia is Nux vomica. Nux vomica is concerned with occupation and business, with tremendous irritability and has many symptoms similar to Sepia, e.g. chilly, constipated, etc. In an acute situation of business failure, the Sepia person can need Nux vomica.

Clinical tip

Whatever may be the constitution and the age of the patient Natrum muriaticum produces always good results in high dilutions in diabetic patients and patients suffering from migraine even in advanced age.

Clinical tip

For small wounds, lacerations and similar conditions there are three commonly indicated remedies.
The commonest is Calendula.
The ordinary homoeopathic routine of putting a Calendula dressing on wounds gives extremely good results, but they will be even better if Calendula in potency is given orally at the same time.
Give three doses two hours apart of 30c or 200c potency.

A wet Calendula dressing helps the bruising as well as the laceration.

Remember

Arnica is most useful internally, but should not be used externally on any injury where the skin is broken as it may cause inflammation.

Hamamelis will reduce bruising and is a safe external application in these conditions.
