IELTS rarely changes the nature of its questions. For example, since 2016-17, we have mostly been seeing one-word only gap-filling questions in the #Listening Part 4.
According to our latest pretest questions, this might soon change.
Oct 9 candidates also reported that they had multiple choice questions in part 4, so that might've been the starting point for upcoming changes.
