Yesterday (Saturday), IDF troops under the Southern Command, together with the ISA, eliminated an armed Hamas terrorist cell that approached the Yellow Line and planned to carry out an imminent terror attack against IDF troops operating in the central Gaza Strip.
Following intelligence assessments, it was determined that during the strike, the IDF eliminated the terrorist Ali Sami Mohammad Shakra, a Hamas Nukhba platoon commander, who infiltrated the State of Israel during the October 7 massacre and took part in the abduction of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Alon Ohel, Eliya Cohen, and Or Levy from a bomb shelter in Re’im.
Furthermore, during the strike, the IDF eliminated Mohammad Mabhouh, a regional company commander in Hamas’ al-Bureij Battalion, and the terrorist Mohammad Fuad Jaser Sayyid. Both terrorists took part in the holding of Avinatan Or in Hamas captivity.
The IDF now reveals a photo of Mohammad Fuad Jaser Sayyid, a Hamas platoon commander, alongside Avinatan Or during his captivity in a Hamas tunnel.
Additionally, during the strike, additional Hamas Nukhba terrorists were eliminated, including terrorists who operated to launch rockets toward the State of Israel.
IDF troops in the Southern Command remain deployed in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.

Soldiers from the Paratroopers, Commando, and Givati Brigades, under the command of the 98th Division, are expanding targeted ground operations against Hezbollah military infrastructure to strengthen the forward defense posture in southern Lebanon.
Over the past week, troops from the 98th Division have surrounded Hezbollah military infrastructure and begun targeted ground operations in the Bint Jbeil area.
The troops struck and eliminated more than 100 Hezbollah terrorist operatives, both in close-quarters combat and through aerial strikes, dismantled dozens of terrorist infrastructure sites, and located hundreds of weapons in the area, including weapons located in and around civilian infrastructure.
The IDF will continue to operate with determination against the Hezbollah terrorist organization in order to protect Israeli civilians and prevent further attacks against them.

Following a continuous IDF intelligence monitoring since the largest strike in Lebanon during Operation Roaring Lion on April 8th, 2026, the IDF now confirms that more than 250 Hezbollah terrorists were eliminated during the strike across Beirut, the Beqaa, and southern Lebanon.
These strikes constitute a precise and significant blow to Hezbollah’s command and control infrastructure.
The IDF is now revealing for the first time some of the commanders eliminated in the strike. These commanders were responsible for overseeing Hezbollah’s key operational systems, with particular emphasis on the terrorist organization’s firepower, intelligence, and defensive capabilities:
* Hassan Mustafa Nasser - Commander of Hezbollah’s Logistics Support Headquarters, responsible for smuggling and storing weapons in Lebanon and constituted a central figure in the terrorist organization’s rehabilitation efforts and buildup in southern Lebanon.
* Ali Qassem, Abu Ali Abbas, and Ali Hijazi - Senior commanders in Hezbollah’s intelligence unit. Responsible for gathering the intelligence assessment on the State of Israel, including the development of a target bank for strikes and the collection of intelligence.
* Abu Muhammad Habib - Deputy Commander of Hezbollah’s Missile Unit. Throughout the war, and particularly during Operation Northern Arrows, he was involved in launching missiles toward the State of Israel. Habib recently led force-building efforts within the missile unit.
Alongside these eliminations, the IDF also eliminated operatives responsible for artillery and defensive capabilities across Hezbollah’s various units.

The IDF continues to monitor the developments, and in coordination with the Home Front Command's ongoing situational assessment, it was decided to update the defensive guidelines.
From Monday, April 13th, 2026, at 21:00, until Tuesday, April 14th, 2026, at 20:00, the defensive guidelines will change and be updated in accordance with the situational assessment:
1. The frontline areas will remain under a limited activity level, educational activity may be held within a protected space.
2. The Northern Golan, Upper Galilee, and the communities of Katzrin and Kidmat Tzvi will remain under a limited activity level, Educational activity may be held in locations from which a protected space can be reached within the required protection time.
3. Guideline areas:
Southern Golan, Beit She’an Valley, the Jordan Valley, Samaria, Judea, the Dead Sea area, Jerusalem, Lachish, Western Lachish, the Gaza Envelope, Western Negev, Central Negev, Soutern Negev, the Arava and Eilat - Gathertings up to 5000 people.
All other Home Front Command guidelines remain unchanged.

Holocaust Remembrance Day was marked this morning (Tuesday) across all combat regions. Troops in Lebanon, Syria, Judea and Samaria, and the Gaza Strip stood in silence during the memorial siren.

Soldiers of the Nahal Brigade combat team, under the command of the 162nd Division, continue targeted ground operations in southern Lebanon.
During operations, the soldiers, in coordination with the Air Force, dismantled dozens of Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure sites, including anti-tank positions, observation posts, and weapons storage facilities.
During searches in the area, several weapons belonging to Hezbollah were located inside a civilian home, including Kalashnikov rifles, magazines, and military vests.

IDF: The IDF eliminated armed Hamas terrorists to remove immediate threats to troops operating in the area
Earlier this week, on Monday night, IDF troops identified armed Hamas terrorists in the central Gaza Strip.
In a separate incident earlier today (Tuesday), IDF troops identified an armed terrorist in the Yellow Line area who approached their position and posed an immediate threat to troops operating in the northern Gaza Strip.
In both incidents, immediately upon identifying the threat, IDF troops carried out precise strikes and eliminated the terrorists in order to remove the immediate danger to the troops.
IDF Southern Command troops remain deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.

During the incident, three IDF soldiers were severely injured, one was moderately injured, and six additional soldiers were lightly injured.
In a rapid response, the soldiers returned fire and eliminated two terrorists and struck the area from which the attack was carried out.
An additional terrorist was identified attempting to flee the area. In a rapid follow-up response, the terrorist was also struck and eliminated.

Troops from the 205th Brigade and Yahalom troops, under the command of the 252nd Division, are operating in the northern Gaza Strip, east of the Yellow Line, to clear the area of terrorist infrastructure.
Over the past weekend, the troops dismantled four underground tunnel routes with a total length of approximately 800 meters that were used by the Hamas terrorist organization. Within the underground tunnel routes, the troops located living quarters, equipment for prolonged stays, mines, and materials used by Hamas to prepare explosive devices against our troops.
IDF troops under the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire framework and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.

The Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, and members of the General Staff Forum held an exhibition day today (Tuesday) marking Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Prior to the exhibition day, the Chief of the General Staff introduced the Commander of CENTCOM, Admiral Brad Cooper, to Holocaust survivor Bella Haim, and together they heard her testimony and personal story.
Mrs. Bella Haim was born in the town of Stoczek in Poland and survived the Holocaust by fleeing with her family to Russia. Her grandson, Yotam Chaim, was abducted during the October 7th massacre and was mistakenly killed by IDF troops in the Gaza Strip.
Later, the commanders held a meeting and discussion with Holocaust survivor Bella Haim and the Commander of the Combat Command Training Center, BG Amir Peretz, who together participated in the “Witness in Uniform” delegation.
The day concluded with remarks by the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir.
