IDF: Elimination of Terrorists and the Locating of Weapons Depots: New Footage from Operations by Troops from the Golani Brigade in Southern Lebanon
Troops from the Golani Brigade, under the command of the 36th Division, remain deployed in the Forward Defense Area to prevent a direct threat to the communities in northern Israel.
During the activity, the troops identified armed terrorists who posed an immediate threat. In cooperation with forces from the Multidimensional Unit, the terrorists were struck and eliminated in close-quarters combat and in a drone strike.
In a separate operation, the troops located several weapons depots and ammunition stockpiles used by Hezbollah terrorists. Among the weapons located were anti-tank explosive devices, explosive UAVs, remote detonation systems, RPG rockets, Kalashnikov rifles, explosive devices, hand grenades and military equipment.
The IDF will continue to remove threats and defend Israeli civilians and IDF troops.

IDF: Following the situational assessment, the Home Front Command defensive guidelines remain unchanged and in effect until Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 20:00 PM.
IDF: Chief of the General Staff in an Operational Update to the Senior Command Forum: “We are still in a multi-front operation. The IDF has shaped and will continue to work to solidify a new security reality. Across all sectors, we have established forward defense areas on the frontlines, adjacent to our communities, in the Gaza Strip, Syria, and Lebanon. We must be prepared to remain in these areas as long as sustained security for our communities has not yet been ensured.”
“Women are an integral part of the IDF and of its operational strength. There will be no exclusion of women in the IDF. Their integration is rooted in values and equality and is an operational necessity that must be pursued fairly and without prejudice.”
An operational update briefing for commanders was held today (Monday), attended by the IDF senior command forum from across all commands, directorates, and branches. The conference was held at the Israeli Air Force’s Ramat David Base and focused on summarizing the achievements of operations to date, Operation Roaring Lion in Iran, as well as on the continuation of operations in Lebanon.
During the conference, operational updates were presented by commanders from across the various units. In addition, discussions were held with Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister, Israel Katz.
In his concluding remarks, the Chief of the General Staff addressed the operational situation across all sectors, the IDF’s achievements to date, and the importance of upholding IDF values. He also referred to recent incidents that contradict IDF values and emphasized the need to establish clear lines and strengthen command norms.
Remarks by the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir:
“We are still in a multi-front operation.
Currently, under the leadership of the political echelon, three negotiations are taking place in different arenas: Iran, Lebanon, and Gaza. These processes are grounded in the achievements of the IDF, made possible by the troops and commanders in the air, at sea, and on land. Thanks to you, we have accomplished every mission.
In Iran, we achieved unprecedented accomplishments and removed emerging existential threats. We operated in a joint operation, together with the United States military, in extraordinary synchronization. We fulfilled every mission assigned to us and exceeded expectations. We must now ensure these achievements are translated into long-term strategic gain. The forward defense posture in Lebanon continues until the security of the northern communities is ensured. The negotiations currently underway are grounded in the military achievements we have secured.
Since the October 7th massacre, the IDF has been engaged in combat in an ongoing multi-front war. We continue to remain prepared and vigilant for any scenario in all sectors—2026 may continue to be a year of multi-front combat.
In light of the increasing operational demands facing the IDF in the coming years, there is a need in the State of Israel is to increase the number of those serving and those in combat roles, and we will stand firm on this. All parts of society must share the responsibility, and we must ensure all those serving have the ability to fulfill their service. We will do this not at the expense of one another, but together.
I also state clearly here— women are an integral part of the IDF and of its operational strength. There will be no exclusion of women in the IDF. Their integration is rooted in values and equality, and is an operational necessity that must be implemented without prejudice. The IDF is the army of the State of Israel, an army built on values. Even after more than two and a half years of intense combat, and amid polarized public discourse, the IDF continues to serve as an example of integration and joint action for one purpose—the defense of the State of Israel.
I am aware of my responsibility—to strengthen the security of the state and preserve IDF values. I am aware that this has been a long and complex period, but the unethical incidents we have seen are not justified. We must not compromise on our values. Erosion of values and standards can be as dangerous as operational threats.
The phenomenon of looting, if it exists, is disgraceful. If such incidents occurred, we will investigate them.
I define clearly here as well—IDF personnel, in both regular and reserve service, will not use social media as a tool to spread controversial messages or for self-promotion. This is a red line that must not be crossed, and those who do so will face disciplinary action. The uniform we wear is a symbol of where we serve and of our values—we must not use it irresponsibly.
The story of the IDF and Israeli society is a story of love, but it also includes expectations and criticism. We will not allow political discourse in our ranks. The public looks to us and relies on us. We will not ask what others will say about us, but what is right for the IDF. We will continue to act according to a clear moral compass and will not allow deviation from the proper path.”

IDF: The IDF exposes Hezbollah’s underground tunnel network: IDF soldiers completed an operation to locate and dismantle tunnels belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the Qantara area
In recent weeks, IDF soldiers led an extensive operation to locate and dismantle illegal underground tunnels built by Hezbollah in the Qantara area of southern Lebanon. The tunnels were built with assistance and direct guidance from the Iranian terror regime.
Following precise intelligence, the soldiers located two underground Hezbollah tunnels, with a total length of approximately 2 kilometers, situated about 10 kilometers from Israel’s northern communities. The tunnels identified are part of a broader underground terror infrastructure network, exposed during Operation Northern Arrows, which was significantly dismantled in the Maroun el-Ras and Mays al-Jabal areas of southern Lebanon.
Inside the tunnels, soldiers located a large quantity of weapons, living quarters, water tanks, and equipment for prolonged stays. The tunnels were used by Hezbollah operatives primarily for housing; in one tunnel, approximately 10 sleeping rooms were identified. Within the tunnels, shafts were discovered connecting to positions with launchers directed toward Israeli territory.
Hezbollah’s underground tunnel networks were constructed over the course of about a decade, at depths of dozens of meters underground, funded by the Iranian terror regime and as part of Hezbollah’s plot to “conquer the Galilee” — the plan to invade Israel’s north, killing and kidnapping Israeli soldiers and civilians.

IDF: Watch the footage: Hezbollah underground tunnels dismantled by the IDF
A short while ago, IDF soldiers dismantled two underground tunnels belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the Qantara area in southern Lebanon.
The tunnels had a combined length of approximately 2 kilometers, and over 450 tons of explosives were used to dismantle them.
Within the tunnels, more than 30 rooms used for lodging and operational planning were identified in the tunnels, alongside 30 operational shafts. One of the tunnels was recently used by terrorists from Hezbollah’s ‘Radwan Force’ Unit to advance terrorist attack plans against the State of Israel and its civilians, therefore posing a threat to Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers.
The IDF will continue to operate against threats posed to Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers, in accordance with directives from the political echelon.
