IDF: Watch: Hezbollah terrorists launch rockets to northern Israel from a school and concealed a launcher within it

A short while ago, the IDF identified that the Hezbollah terrorist organization launched rockets from a school compound in the Tir Zibneh area in southern Lebanon.

In newly released IDF footage, the heat signature of the launcher is clearly visible as it is transferred in real time within the school grounds, constituting the use of civilian infrastructure for military purposes in violation of international law.

Following the identification, and in accordance with international law, the IDF struck the premises in order to remove the threat to the State of Israel.

The IDF views with severity the Hezbollah terrorist organization’s cynical use of civilian infrastructure for military activity and will continue to operate against the organization’s military infrastructure in accordance with international law to defend the State of Israel.

IDF: The IDF reveals the details behind the largest strike in Lebanon since the start of Operation Roaring Lion

The count continues: Within only a minute, the IDF eliminated at least 180 Hezbollah terrorists in three areas simultaneously

Earlier this week (Wednesday), the IDF completed a large-scale wave of strikes targeting command centers and military infrastructure belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization across three areas simultaneously: Beirut, Beqaa, and southern Lebanon, following Hezbollah terrorists' attempts to expand their activity from Beirut northward into additional areas.

The large-scale wave of strikes was based on precise and high-quality intelligence, while using high-quality capabilities that allowed striking multiple areas simultaneously within a single minute.

Following an initial IDF intelligence assessment, it can be determined that the IDF has eliminated more than 180 Hezbollah terrorists. The count is ongoing at this time.

As part of the strikes, approximately 100 targets were struck in three areas simultaneously: More than 45 Hezbollah main command centers, approximately 40 military structures used by Hezbollah commanders to advance terror attacks, and multiple terror infrastructure used by the top military operatives of the terrorist organization.

In Beirut, the IDF struck approximately 35 military infrastructure sites of the Hezbollah terror organization, including an emergency command center used by Hezbollah's intelligence unit, a command center used by the Radwan Force, and a command center used by Hezbollah's missile unit.

In southern Lebanon, approximately 40 additional infrastructure sites were struck, including a unit and a weapons storage facility. Simultaneously, in the Beqaa Valley, headquarters of the Radwan Force and the intelligence unit were struck, along with additional infrastructure.

From these command centers, Hezbollah terrorists operated to advance and plan terror attacks against IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians in recent times, particularly during the current operation.

This constitutes a significant and deep blow to the operational and command capabilities of the Hezbollah terror organization.

Most of the infrastructure sites struck were located in the heart of the civilian population, a cynical use of Lebanese civilians as a human shield by the Hezbollah terror organization.

Prior to the strikes, steps were taken to mitigate harm to uninvolved civilians as much as possible, including using precise ammunition and aerial surveillance.

IDF: Materials for manufacturing high-powered explosives and IED’s: IDF soldiers dismantled an explosives manufacturing lab in Tulkarem

Following an intelligence indication, IDF soldiers located and dismantled yesterday (Friday) an explosives manufacturing lab in Tulkarem.

During the activity, IDF soldiers located numerous amounts of weapons and materials used to produce explosive devices in the lab, including:

* Improvised explosive devices (IEDs), including approximately 200 pipe bombs

* Fire extinguishers intended to be used as explosive charges attached to vehicles

* Large gas cylinders with the potential to be used as under-vehicle explosive devices intended to target armored vehicles

* More than 50 kilograms of improvised explosive material

The explosives made in the lab were intended to target IDF soldiers operating in Judea and Samaria and to be used for carrying out terror attacks against Israeli civilians. The laboratory had been operating prior to the start of the IDF’s counterterrorism activity in northern Samaria.

IDF operational activity in the area has been ongoing for more than a year, during which troops have located ammunition, weapons, and explosive devices used by terrorist networks in the area that posed a threat to Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers.

The IDF will continue to act to prevent any harm to Israeli civilians and security forces.

IDF: Overnight (Saturday), IDF soldiers were dispatched to the area of Al-Ram following a report of several suspects who opened fire in the area.

As part of the operational activity in the area, the soldiers apprehended the suspects and conducted searches, during which they located and confiscated an M4-type weapon, ammunition, and additional weapon components.

The activity is part of the IDF’s ongoing efforts to locate and confiscate weapons throughout Judea and Samaria.

IDF: Following the clarification that was issued, it should be emphasized that the Chief of the General Staff referred to the need for conscription legislation that would address the IDF’s immediate and urgent operational needs, as presented over the past year and since assuming his position. The Chief of the General Staff did not express support for any specific conscription law.

The Chief of the General Staff warned during Cabinet discussions that beginning in January 2027, the length of mandatory service is expected to be reduced to 30 months. This reduction in force levels, alongside an increase in the scope of IDF missions, will place an unreasonable burden on reservists.

Therefore, the Chief of the General Staff emphasized the need to advance a comprehensive legislative solution, including extending mandatory service to 36 months, updating the Reserve Service Law, and establishing a framework that would enable an increase in the number of recruits to the IDF in order to meet its expanding missions.

The IDF will continue to present its professional requirements to the political echelon.
IDF: IDF soldiers eliminated the terrorists responsible for killing Staff Sergeant Touvel Yosef Lifshiz

The soldiers of the 13th Battalion of the Golani Brigade conducted a second raid on a Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure site in southern Lebanon, in which Staff Sergeant Touvel Yosef Lifshiz was killed during an encounter on April 7th, 2026.

At the infrastructure site, the soldiers identified a terrorist armed with an AK-47 weapon and a number of magazines in his possession, while he was hiding under the rubble of one of the rooms in the building. The soldiers eliminated the terrorist in a close-quarters encounter.

In the building, the soldiers also located the body of the terrorist who was eliminated during the encounter on April 7th.

The two terrorists eliminated were responsible for carrying out the attack against soldiers of the 13th Battalion on April 7th, during which Staff Sergeant Touvel Yosef Lifshiz fell.

The IDF extends its condolences to the family and will continue to support them.

IDF: Weapons cache discovered inside hospital used by Hezbollah for terrorist activity in Bint Jbeil

Over the past week, Givati Brigade soldiers identified Hezbollah terrorist activity from within the government hospital in Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon.

In the past few days, several Hezbollah terrorists were identified conducting surveillance from a hospital window and firing towards IDF soldiers in the area. Following the immediate identification of the threat, the soldiers eliminated the terrorists. Additionally, in order to remove the immediate threat, approximately 20 terrorists were precisely eliminated within the hospital compound.

The soldiers operating in the hospital compound located a cache of weapons inside the facility.

The Hezbollah terrorist organization systematically and repeatedly used the hospital compound and its immediate surroundings for military purposes, constituting a serious violation of international law.
Among the uses identified within the hospital compound:

* The transfer of weapons through the hospital compound
* The storage of weapons within the hospital compound
* The use of hospital facilities as observation posts, concealment positions, and shelter for operatives

Hezbollah systematically exploits medical facilities and ambulances for military purposes, thereby violating international law and endangering the civilian population.

The IDF operates in accordance with international law, and clarified prior to the operation to the relevant Lebanese authorities that all military activity within hospitals in Lebanon must cease, and disseminated these warnings through various channels. Despite this, Hezbollah continued to use the hospital for military activity.

The IDF views with severity the cynical use by the Hezbollah terrorist organization of civilian infrastructure, including medical institutions, for military purposes, placing patients, medical staff, and civilians at risk, in violation of international law.
