Aldi getting desperate in Australia

Aldi Australia CEO just sent this to everyone on the Aldi mailing list, desperately trying to tell people to "rest assured, there isn’t a food shortage, just complications and delays associated with less employees", as Australians walk around empty shelves.

Functionally it is the same thing - people can’t get food. It hasn't been sent to us, or processed and packaged, or stacked on the shelves, or picked and harvested, or fertalized due to ongoing Adblue shortages in Australia or...

Meanwhile abbatoirs are shutting down due as asymptomatic workers are required to stay at home. Meat IS running short already.

The shortest supply chain is the one that starts and ends right in your own home! Grow your own.

DC Mayor asks people to “voluntarily ration” food due to supply chain issues, launching a new “Only Take What You Need” campaign.

A troubling sign - we know what comes after the “voluntary” part - and this starts to cast those who are prepared as enemies/hoarders, enemies of the collective.

Cue the CBDCs as ultimate purchase limits…

Farming Insider Warns The Coming Food Shortages Are Going To Be Far Worse Than We're Being Told

As
I’ve been warning, I’m hearing these same things from farmers: prices for inputs have exploded IF they are available at all! A controlled demolition of our food supply is ongoing.

Analysts / "experts" are now echoing what I'd said last week about the effects of this conflict on world grain supplies

"If the conflict is prolonged -- three months, four months from now -- I feel the consequences could be really serious, wheat will need to be rationed," said Andree Defois, president of consultant Strategie Grains.

Kyiv-based researcher UkrAgroConsult warned, "the chain of product creation, from cultivation to port shipments, is paralyzed."

This is, at its heart, an attack on the food supply.

Ukraine is about 3 weeks out from planting this season’s crop — and seeds are not showing up. Forget the early analyses about “25% hit to yield” - this is devolving to a completely catastrophic blow to food production. In the area that supplied 40% of worlds grain.

"Could a food shortage be coming?" Record diesel prices are crushing farmers

“I’ve got a tractor hooked up to my corn planter out here, no diesel fuel, and I can’t afford to get any.”

The crushing reality of record diesel fuel prices is pushing farmers to the brink and may affect food availability. <- [READ IT AGAIN]

“We have reached that point to where it is very close to being a sinking ship,” Kotzmoyer, a legislative affairs specialist for the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, testified to state lawmakers Tuesday. “We are teetering on the edge right now. Food may not be as available because of the fuel price surge."

Libya declares force majeure on oil exports after weeks of protests and port blockades.

This is major news on its own, but also needs to be considered from Europe's perspective:

- 6% of EU oil & gas imports are from Libya and were just taken off the table.
- 34% of EU oil and 55% of gas comes from Russia, which is being throttled
- Freeport terminal in TX was blown up and cannot send LNG
- UK just announced they'd stop gas exports to EU if there were shortages
- EU and UK are both frantically burning gas just to generate electricity now, instead of storing for the winter ahead!

- Greenhouses, food plants and facilities are ALREADY SHUT DOWN due to the cost of energy — and somehow things keep blowing up! This is an absolute CONTROLLED DEMOLITION.

Europe is being strangled !

Ghana: food shortages hit schools as students drink porridge without bread and sugar

There appears to be a serious food shortage in Senior High Schools in the country. This is a result of the poor food supply situation in the schools which is reported to have reached dire and deteriorated levels.

He said the students are given porridge without milk, sugar, and bread adding that "Dear parents, these are our boys, and as a parents association, we have less than GH¢1,000 in our coffers. What can this do?"

The Headmaster of St Augustine's, Henry Arthur-Gyan, also said the school had no option but to manage the situation. "We know there are challenges and so we manage with what we are provided. There is not much we can do about it," he stated.

[ @iceagefarmer note: expect media to play up school food shortages as a key concept in the Rockefeller ‘Reset the Table’ agenda is to use schools as “nutritional hubs” for communities ]

Sugar and Salt Shortage Worsens Philippines Food Supply Woes

A top soft-drinks maker with no sugar, a burger joint out of onions and kitchens short of salt underscore the dependence of the Philippines on food imports and illustrate some of the cost pressures fueling inflation.

The country not only buys sugar, salt and garlic from abroad, but also imports a raft of other food commodities such as rice, wheat, corn and soybean meal, and that’s after global farm prices surged to a record this year on the back of lower world supply caused by drought, heat and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

France bracing for ‘catastrophic’ food shortages and price hikes following drought, farmers and unions warn

After four severe heatwaves this year record high temperatures have wreaked havoc on crops and could have a devastating impact on the availability of food across the rest of Europe.

France is the leading European exporter of potatoes with more than two million tonnes of the crop being exported each year.

Food producers say nearly 1.5 million tonnes of potato crops could be lost due to the heatwave — a drop of 20 per cent.

Geoffroy d’Evry, a farmer in the Oise region and president of potato-growers’ union UNPT, said: “We have never experienced a situation like this.

We were preparing to spend the winter without heating or electricity, and now we discover that there may not even be potatoes for dinner?” [Welcome to the Great Reset — this is why we prepared.]

The Legumes de France federation has also estimated losses of between 25 and 35 per cent of the production and yield of vegetables.

Europe’s Natural Gas Shortage Could Trigger A Food Crisis

Governments are using every tool in their kits to curb the rising inflation rates, there’s far less they can do about the coming food shortage.

"Countries can't mandate fertilizer production because they are so worried about having enough natural gas to heat people's homes," John Harpole, a natural gas broker for the fertilizer sector told Newsweek. "They are having to choose between future food production and heat and they are going to choose heat."

The problem with an energy crisis is that it’s actually an everything crisis. In a world where virtually every industry relies on energy in some form, runaway inflation is an inevitability.

Empty Shelves as Inflation Leaves Products Unprofitable

“Not only Mars [who worked hand in hand with Rockefeller Foundation on "Reset the Table], but also Coca Cola [WEF partner] or Procter & Gamble [WEF Partner] are currently trying to ride the wave of inflation with excessive price demands in order to increase their returns,” a spokesman for the Edaka chain of supermarkets claimed.

The official went on to claim that a number of major companies have now halted deliveries to the chain, something that they alleged is being used to put pressure on supermarkets.

Products ranging from Kellogg’s cornflakes to Coca Cola have disappeared from supermarkets throughout Germany, with many shops being left with empty shelves as products become simply unprofitable to sell due to differentials in inflation.

It comes as overall inflation hit 10% in the country in September, with EU-wide inflation for the month falling just short of 11% as a result of the ongoing #EnergyCrisis, which has in turn hiked the cost of food and other essential goods.

Retailers in the country however have strongly resisted this, with one supermarket chain in the country going so far as to accuse major companies of “price gouging” and “usury”.

“The situation in the industry is critical to catastrophic,” Federal Association of the Food Industry general manager Christoph Minhoff remarked regarding the feud, which has seen some individual rows even reportedly ending up in court as companies are unable to come to a compromise.

As a result of these ongoing hostilities between supermarkets and producers, a wide variety of well-known brands have disappeared from supermarkets throughout Germany, leaving many shops with empty shelves.

The likes of Coca Cola, Pepsi, Snickers, Kellogg’s Cornflakes, Milka Chocolate, Ritter Sport chocolate, Wrigley’s chewing gum, along with many other products ranging from mayonnaise to pet food have all been affected, though availability reportedly varies between supermarket chains.
