New Dutch animal law ENDS livestock -- and keeping pets! - by 2023:

'This new law, introduced by the Party for the Animals, provides that from 1 January 2023, animals may no longer experience pain or discomfort if they are kept in a stable, pen or cage. "

The law is not only about livestock - such as chickens, pigs and cows - but also about pets. "You can also think of the lonely rabbit in the hutch in the backyard or the bird in the cage," says Bas Rodenburg, professor of animal welfare at Utrecht University. According to the new law, animals must be able to display natural behaviour: pens, stables and cages must be adapted accordingly.

"A rabbit is now often alone in a pen, while they are actually very social animals," says Rodenburg. "That also applies to parakeets and other birds, which naturally have a lot of freedom of movement." It could also be the case that cats should always be given the opportunity to go outside.

Rodenburg questions the feasibility: "The question is whether the law can be enforced." Last April, Minister Schouten advised against the amendment of the law. Nevertheless, a majority in the House of Representatives agreed. The Senate also agreed last week: the senate dismissed it as a hammering piece.

Parties in parliament are now concerned. "Can we still walk dogs on a leash or should we give them the freedom to eat the neighbor's cat?" asks CDA MP Derk Boswijk. VVD, CDA, SGP and BBB also fear disastrous consequences for livestock farming in the Netherlands.

Minister Schouten says that her ministry is 'analyzing' what the adopted law will mean in practice. "The law is worded very openly," she says. "Within you have to look at what is and what is not possible." According to Schouten, for example, it is difficult to determine exactly what the natural behavior of animals is.

Milk made from pineapple and cabbage — something no human would have ever dreamed of pouring into their breakfast cereal. The product, called NotMilk, uses more than a dozen ingredients, including chicory root fiber, coconut oil and pea protein, to make what the packaging calls a “plant-based milk alternative.” Featured on the carton: a drawing of a cow crossed out in black — erased.

Sold at Whole Foods in the United States, NotMilk will reach nearly 3,000 U.S. grocery stores this year, in addition to being available in Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Brazil. Investors include Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, which owns Whole Foods. (Bezos owns The Washington Post.) NotCo also makes plant-based mayonnaise, ice cream and burgers using the same base technology.

(YES you read that right -- Bezos funds the Not Company -- AND sells their products at WholeFoods)

India: Peta behind campaign to take control of Indian dairy industry, says Amul MD RS Sodhi

Amul MD RS Sodhi has hit out at Peta India over its letter saying that the cooperative organisation should venture into production of plant-based milk. The controversy began when Peta India and some others moved the ASCI against Amul's ad that claimed that only cattle milk is real milk. After ASCI settled the matter in favour of Amul, Peta India shot off a letter to Amul, saying that plant-based milk like soya milk and almond milk is gaining in popularity world-wide, and that Amul should join the business rather than campaign against it. Reacting to the letter Amul MD says that plant-based milk is based on vegetable oil in which chemicals are added as stabilisers and emuslifiers. The vitamins in these products are also added in form of chemicals, said RS Sodhi.

"Somehow" all these billionaires predict the end of animal agriculture. And blame meat for COVID. Dirty and dangerous, my friends.

Jim Mellon predicts the end of animal and dairy farming

Jim Mellon is a billionaire investor, a businessman, a philanthropist and an author of several prominent books. He also shows the ability to successfully identify emerging global trends.

To give us a bit of background to his new book and the 'New Agrarian Revolution', Mellon mentions the pandemic. "Where did that pandemic come from? Probably from food malpractice in the Far East. Where will the next pandemic come from? Probably food malpractice in the Far East". Mitigating future pandemics is one of the reasons he thinks that in the next ten years, "half of the world's meat will be plant-based" or from "cell-based agriculture where the meat is produced in laboratories".

In late August, 89 Northeast organic dairy farmers were informed by Danone that their contracts with Horizon Organic, which the French-based company owns, will be terminated in August 2022. The affected farms in New York, Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire are part of a larger trend of decline in small dairy farms driven by milk pricing and consolidation.

The Mehurens have been shipping their milk to Horizon since 2008, when they transitioned the dairy to organic. Their 45 registered Holsteins produce around 2,700 pounds of milk a day, and they also raise beef animals and a handful of sheep.

“It’s a pretty big deal for a processor to withdraw from an entire region,” Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) executive director Sarah Alexander recently told the Lewiston Sun Journal as MOFGA, along with eight other organic farming organizations, sent two petitions to Danone.

“It’s potentially devastating for those farms that have lost their contracts with few if any alternate buyers,” says Katie Baildon, policy co-ordinator for Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York (NOFA-NY), another organization that sponsored the petition. “It’s also a loss for the communities that no longer have access to local organic milk.”

‘Perfect storm’ of issues behind latest price hike causing pain at the supermarket checkout
It’s an essential item that most Aussies consume daily – and it just got a whole lot more expensive, with even more pain on the way.

Dairy is becoming more expensive to make, with farmers slugged by skyrocketing prices when it comes to things like grain and fertiliser.

We also have fewer cows in Australia in the wake of the drought of 2018-19, which saw many farmers cull their livestock to get through that tough period.

I can’t even share the constant stream of “[product] without [animal].” Here’s another $25 mil thrown at some “Mozzarella without cows”: 🤮investment round led by ADM, the biggest animal feed company in the world. ADM, Kraft & Dr Oetker back bovine-free mozzarella maker New Culture in $25m round

US alt-dairy startup New Culture has raised $25 million in Series A funding to bring its bovine-free mozzarella product to market.

Founded in 2018 by CEO Matt Gibson and chief scientific officer Inja Radman, New Culture is using precision fermentation technology to produce casein – the key protein in bovine-derived dairy products that helps give mozzarella and similar cheeses their characteristic stretch, melt, and "mouthfeel.

Could Sunflowers Solve the Cream Cheese Crisis? Spero® Says Yes. Expanding Into Food Service.

“Don't panic bagel connoisseurs and professional shmear-ers, Spero sunflower cream cheese is here to save the day, and emits an estimated 99% less CO2 than dairy!

On October 28, Market Realist was one of the early reporters of a nationwide cream cheese shortage. Fast forward to December, the shortage has become a full-fledged crisis, making headlines on CNN, Food & Wine, NBC and more. Supply chains are unable to determine when stock will be replenished. Most affected are New York City bagel shops and grocery stores with the exception of Black Seed Bagels, an artisan bagel shop led by James Beard-nominated executive chef and head baker, Dianna Daoheung. Black Seed partners with Spero® Foods, also a woman-owned business, that makes cream cheese out of organic sunflower seeds.

Cut meat and dairy output by a third to save climate, British farmers told

British farmers must reduce their production of meat and dairy by a third in the next 10 years if scientific advice on limiting greenhouse gas emissions is to be met, the “”conservation charity”” WWF has said.

South Europe fears livestock culls as Ukraine conflict prompts feed shortage

Ukraine is a major global supplier of animal feed, stocks of which are falling fast across import-reliant southern Europe. With Hungary, Serbia and Moldova also banning exports as they safeguard their own supplies, costs for farms like Ferrari's have spiked, threatening their future. Many face culling animals if the situation doesn't improve quickly.

"I hear growing reports of farmers slaughtering their animals, but I want to avoid that," said Elisabetta Quaini, who keeps 1,300 cows for beef and milk production on her farm in Lombardy, northern Italy. "I'm determined to keep going, but I am very worried."

"It's not just corn, it's also soya and numerous by-products that are hard to find. There is a tremendous fight to get hold of what is available."

Michele Liverini, vice-president of livestock feed producer Mangimi Liverini S.p.A., said if dairy cows were slaughtered it would take seven to eight years to build up a barn to produce milk again.

UK dairy farmers warn of price rises amid chronic staff shortages

Dairy farmers are warning that a chronic shortage of workers is hitting milk production and further fuelling food price inflation, and are calling for urgent action to stop the situation getting worse.

Eight in 10 farm owners looking for workers said they had received very few or zero applications from people with the right experience or qualifications, in response to a survey by Arla Foods, the UK’s largest dairy co-operative.

Borden Dairy Co. will immediately close its Alabama plant because “it could no longer support continued production,” according to a report.

Employees are being laid off. “Borden Dairy will close its Dothan, AL and Hattiesburg, MS milk production facilities by no later than September 30, 2022, and will no longer produce in these states,” according to the company’s statement.

IAF: the article neglects to mention that this flows from Blackrock imposing ESG scores that are killing dairy industry.

France: milk shortages feared

The president of the largest farmers' union in France has warned that a shortage of feedstock caused by severe drought may lead to a milk shortage.

"I think that in the coming months, we will have a shortage of milk in France. To make milk, you need fodder, mainly alfalfa and corn, which have grown little this year.”

My friends, this is the most important battle in human history. If we can't grow our own food, we depend forever on the system. — MEGA POST

__
“Animals are dirty and dangerous. Rainwater is poisonous - you can't eat stuff that was grown outside!” Traditional farming and ranching is antequated and illegal!”

Sounds ridiculous -- beyond belief! But so does people wearing cloth masks OUTSIDE for two years. These same people could be made to fear food overnight.

And this move is happening now:

* "Rainwater ALL over Earth has PFAS -- new study claims “forever chemicals” are now in gardens and animals raised outdoors -- remember they are already shutting down farms for PFAS contamination (see my report here) — now extending the contamination to the entire biosphere!

... literally, from the researcher: "we’re in a place now where you can’t live anywhere on the planet, and be sure that the environment is safe. This is the design. The divorce of man from nature. Separation of us from God's creation. And it will be used to make traditional food “dangerous and poisonous." Now we see why the investment into indoor farming, and marketing lab-grown meat as "clean meat." THEY ARE POISONING THE REST!

* “Backyard chickens are dangerous because of lead in eggs — should be regulated -- it's explicitly the BACKYARD birds

- "Hobby farms are a risk for foot and mouth disease" -- dirty and dangerous! It's explicitly the small HOBBY farms

- "Free Range" farming RAISES risk of pandemics -- surprise! intensive corporate ‘factory farming’ may actually be SAFER than you being able to raise your own animals!

Not to mention we have these biolabs researching every kind of pathogen from Bird Flu to African Swine Fever to take our food supply out.

In short, they are destroying traditional food and ranching, just as they are the energy infrastructures and monetary systems.

Prof. Richard Werner just remarked (here) that as central banks currencies fail, they must move to a new digital (#CBDC) model so people don’t take back their power with local currencies. This same play is happening with food: as toxic big Ag fails, they poison the food supply and use weather warfare — it is techno-salting the fields!

I may make separate posts with some of these links for easy sharability but it is all of these dots that form a picture that’s impossible to ignore. This is the biggest takeover in human history. Grow food, use cash/barter/local currency— do everything you can to de-centralize. Our future depends on it.

Another mass kill of livestock: 57,000 cows perish in India - milk shortages and "hundreds of carcasses of dead cows have been found lying in the open, causing a nauseating stench, with crows and vultures feeding on them."
