Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“Sins lead to darkness in one's heart. Obedience to Allah is light, but disobedience to Allah is darkness. When one's darkness increases, one's confusion intensifies, until one falls blindly into the world of innovation and misguidance, just like a blind person walking alone at night. This darkness may become deeper and gradually shows up as dullness in the face of the sinner.”

[Spiritual Diseases and Its’ Cures | P. 72]
Ibn al-Qayyim:

“The whole world from its beginning until its end is not worth an hour of sadness, so what about the sadness of whole life.”

[Al-Fawaid | P.55]
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“Another of the effects of zina is that zina leads to cutting the ties of kinship, disobedience towards parents, haram earnings, mistreating others, neglect of one's wife and children, and it may even lead a person to shed blood unlawfully. He may seek help to commit zina by means of sihr (witchcraft) and shirk, and he may or may not know that this sin inevitably includes other sins committed beforehand or alongside it, and that it leads to other kinds of sins that come after it. It is surrounded by a host of other sins that come before and after. It is the thing that is most likely to bring about evil in this world and the Hereafter, and the most likely to prevent good in this world and in the Hereafter. If a person falls into its traps and snares, it will be hard for sincere people to save him and for doctors to treat him; its prisoner cannot easily be ransomed, and its victim cannot be rescued. It also leads to the loss of blessings. If a person falls into this trap, let him bid farewell to the blessings of Allah, for blessings may easily depart from a person and vanish.”

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“It is appropriate for the mufti to frequently recite the supplication from the saheeh hadith:

O Allah, Lord of Jibreel (Gabriel), Michael and Israfeel, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, You are the Knower of the unseen and the seen, You will judge between Your slaves concerning that wherein they differ. Guide me to the truth of that wherein they differed by Your leave, for You guide whomsoever You will to the Straight Path.

Our shaykh – namely Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah – often used to recite this. If he came across difficult issues, he would say: O Teacher of Ibraheem, teach me. And he would often seek divine help with these words, following the example of Mu‘adh ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him).”

Ibn Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“If your enemy abuses you, do not respond to his abuse for the result will be degradation- Restrict your anger with tolerance, for anger is like a dog: if you set it free, it will cause damage.”

[al-Fawaaid | Pg. 77]
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“Zina is a great evil which can destroy society. It is contrary to the benefit of the global values of preserving lineage, protecting chastity and the sanctity of individuals. It spreads animosity and enmity among people, as committing zina affects other people's wives, mothers, sisters and daughters. It causes destruction to human society, and therefore comes after the evil of killing in terms of the grade of its evil.”

📝 Ibn al-Qayyim:
(May Allāh have mercy on him)

The entire Qurʾān is tawḥīd

“Every verse in the Qurʾān comprises tawḥīd, bares witness to it and calls to it. For verily, the Qurʾān is either:

Information about Allāh and His Names, Attributes and Actions, which is tawḥīd of informative knowledge.

Or calling to worship Allāh, alone, without partners, negating everything falsely worshipped in His place, which is tawḥīd of will and imploring.

Commanding, forbidding and prescribing obedience to Him and that which He has commanded or forbidden, which are the rights of tawḥīd and that which complete it.

Information about how Allāh honours the people of tawḥīd and His obedience and how He treats them in this life and what He will honour them with in the hereafter, which is the reward of tawḥīd.

Information about the people of shirk and what He afflicts them with in this life, of defeat, and the punishment that awaits them in the hereafter, which is all informing about the ruling for the one who leaves tawḥīd.

Thus, the entire Qurʾān is about tawḥīd, it's rights and it's reward, as well shirk, it's people and their recompense."

Ibnul-Qayyim Jawzi رحمه الله said:
