Step-by-Step Guide to CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation (2025)

1. Obtain a Photocopy of Your Evaluated Answer Sheet

Before applying for re-evaluation or marks verification, you must first obtain a scanned copy of your evaluated answer sheet.

How to Apply:

Visit the official CBSE portal: cbseit.in/cbse/web/rchk

Select “Apply for Answer Book”

Enter your Class (12), Roll Number, and Application Number

Pay the required fee (typically ₹500–₹700 per subject)

Download the scanned copy once available



2. Review Your Answer Sheet

Carefully examine the scanned copy for:

Any totaling errors

Unevaluated answers

Discrepancies in marking


3. Apply for Verification of Marks (Optional)

If you identify any totaling errors or unevaluated answers:

How to Apply:

Go to cbseit.in/cbse/web/rchk

Click on “Apply for Verification”

Select the subjects and pay the applicable fee

Submit and save the acknowledgment for future reference



4. Apply for Re-evaluation of Specific Answers

If you believe certain answers were incorrectly evaluated:

Eligibility: Only after obtaining the scanned copy of the answer sheet

Limit: Up to 10 questions per subject

Fee: ₹100 per question

Note: Once re-evaluated, the new marks (whether increased or decreased) will be final and cannot be challenged further
