Asset Information Model

A sub-type of Information Models supporting the maintenance, management and operation of an asset throughout its life cycle.
An Asset Information Model (AIM) is used (a) as a repository for all information about the asset; (b) as a means to access/link to enterprise systems (e.g.CMMS and BMS); and (c) as a means to receive and centralize information from other parties throughout project stages.
