π Can PDF, MP3 & other files contain viruses? YES!
Hereβs how π
π PDF Files
PDFs can contain JavaScript like this:
β οΈ They may:
β’ Run scripts automatically
β’ Redirect to phishing sites
β’ Contain hidden EXE/BAT files
π΅ MP3 Files
MP3s are audio, but still risky!
Example: song.mp3.exe
If file extensions are hidden, it looks safe β but it's actually a virus.
Some media players also have bugs that can be exploited via corrupted tags.
π§Ύ Other risky file types:
β’ .docm, .xlsm β Macros (malicious code)
β’ .zip, .rar β Hidden payloads
β’ .scr, .bat, .cmd β Scripts
π Stay safe:
β Show full file extensions
β Donβt open unknown attachments
β Keep antivirus up to date
β Disable JavaScript in PDF readers
β Avoid double extensions
π‘ Even files that βlook normalβ can be deadly.
