AMD Zen4 #Genoa (fabricated on TSMC 5nm) predictions by the unofficial @AMDGPUOfficial :-)

o 96 cores (confirmed)
o 1024MB L2 per core (leaked)
o +18% IPC
o 1.15GB 3D L3 cache
o 1.95x multi-core performance
o +27% perf per watt single-core

Another stark contrast with @intel

@AMD: #Genoa to ramp this year, on track

@intel: Sapphire Rapids has issues that impact some customers. Delayed volume shipments.

Execution matters!

Looking forward to #Genoa launch after Ryzen 7000 announcement today

AMD says its 2022-2023 era Zen 4 architecture will offer 13% IPC with a new front end design and AVX-512 on 5nm

RT @aschilling: Better view on that delidded #Genoa with 12 CCDs and a central IOD providing up to 96 Zen 4 cores and a lot more. #AMD #EPYC https://twitter.com/aschilling/status/1590793761650417669/photo/1

Will @AMD not having an #HBM offering with #Genoa be a disadvantage in #HPC?

Or will Genoa-X with 1G+ of L3 cache per socket suffice?

Would love to hear your thoughts
