A BBC documentary series about 3 historians who live life as 19th century farmers in a farmhouse museum for a full year.
Allot of useful skills are taught, and they make it as historically accurate as possible by having them live life in their societal roles, ie the woman lives as a farmers wife and cooks and cleans and the men do the manual labour.

However the woman (Ruth) never really complains about what she has to do, enjoys it and actually admits she prefers it in many ways. She also gets her daughter to help her.

They often talk with locals who's parents were farmers in that era and reminisce about what it was like back then. No diversity, no lgbt and no man hating.
By the end the historians admit they preferred that life and didn't want to leave it.

The film I automatically watch when I can't think of what to watch. It never gets old and is compelling on every view

A sophisticated drug dealer that only deals with professionals is sucked into a world of danger after he is forced to move some stolen pills taken by a wanna be gangster. A precarious enough situation but when he discovers the pills were stolen from a Serbian war criminal life gets seriously complicated. A story of double and triple crossing is riveting from beginning to end.

A wonderful cast with Daniel Craig in the lead. Every character is cast superbly. You truly get the sense of menace from true hard men. Violence is never far from the surface with these people. No warnings, no second chances just violent reprisals if you step out of line.

Some brilliant dialogue with many a memorable quote " are you an omo sexual? Are you behind with the rent ? Or " fucking women is for poofs"

Superb soundtrack also. You won't be able to listen to ordinary world in the same way after this

I would reccomend this mini series to you all.
A whaling ship in the 1800's follows the story of the ships surgeon.
It's well cast, coupled with great photography, and features very few diversity.
A nice surprising output from the BBC.
13 Assassins 2011

It's been quite a while since I posted in here, sorry for that. I honestly ran out of ideas a while back, so I'm happy to finally make a new entry.

13 Assassins is a fairly standard Samurai tale of action, honor and justice. It centers around 13 samurai ranging from novices to grizzled veterans dispatched in secret to intercept and kill the out of control and tyrannical brother of the Shogun who's bloodlust and disregard for any sense of right and wrong threatens to plunge the nation into chaos.

These men must cut their way through his 200 man security detail and stop him.

This film is free of western poz, and it isn't an unrealistic magic laden physics defying mess like so many of it's modern kind.

The violence is swift, brutal and unglamorous.
*13 Assassins continued*

The casting is superb, the studio likely wanted a cast of hot young/recognizable talent, maybe putting Keanu Reeves as the lead.

You can tell the filmmakers wanted it to look accurate to those hard times, it shows in the faces (and even the teeth) of the cast.

Every character looks like they'd fit right in to the pictures you can see of Samurai and peasants in the late stages of feudal Japan.

If you don't like blood and violence maybe skip this one, but otherwise I'd strongly recommend it.

Cockneys V Zombies (2012)

By any stretch of the imagination this film could never be described as good. What it is though is the best bad film you will ever see. A film that knows its utter nonsense and runs with it. It plays up on every cockney stereotype and just has fun with it. The extraordinarily convoluted cockney rhyming slang from Eric for example is truly hilarious.

Three kids decide to rob a bank to save their Grandads care home from being demolished. They do this with the help of some really dumb sidekicks. Unfortunately for them try to pull off the heist just as a zombie apocalypse is kicking off.

Not sold on it ? OK then. Think of sitcom legend Richard Briers in a zimmer frame inching away from a shambling zombie in the worlds slowest chase ! Or Alan Ford doing what he does best and shouting " faaackin caaaant" at people while giving them a slap.

If you just want to sit and be entertained while laughing your Jackson Pollocks off this is the film for you.

There are few things more deserving of the white man's pride than taking that which forged us, cold wet sinking snow, short days and unforgiving nights, and turning it into a source of enjoyment.

Warren Miller certainly wouldn't have seen it that way, but I do. And his charismatic and warm approach to such cold winter sports is always worth a watch, especially around this time of year.

I picked this one just because it's a tribute to the man himself, but you will certainly find enjoyment in any of his documentaries (I'd recommend "Warren Miller's 50" my personal favourite.)

Gold

Didn't expect to ever make another addition to the page. But here we are.

Zac Efron is a drifter on his way to a new life in the Australian desert. In the bleak and vague near future men like him have to traverse great distances for a better life.

Along the way he and his guide discover a boulder of gold. This kicks off a story of desperation, guilt and treacherous intent.

It's bleak, it's bloody but it's free from Poz. So that's something.

The Big short (2015)

A less a snappy title would be how the Jews financially crippled America.

Very well written, acted and directed but the main thing about this film is its a red pill tool. Ask people to watch this then :-

1. Google the real life characters.

2. Do an early life check.

3. What one thing do 75% of the characters have in common?

A fantastic cast in this but one that obfuscates the common denominator.

An interesting and infuriating look at the world of finance and how utterly corrupt and self serving it is.

A wholesome movie about a swedish girl who goes to live with her grandfather in the mountains . Her mother dies , and she is sent to the grandpa by her money grabbing aunt who does not want to give up her career for a child. She loves living an off grid rural lifestyle and there is a very wholesome happy ending .

Probably one of the most happy and pure child movies I've watched in my life . This version has no non Europeans , no woke politics etc .
