商會料待中國14億人接種疫苗後
香港才可重新「開放」
香港政府對疫情一直採取「清零」的嚴厲態度，令香港持續未能對外開放，亦「嚇怕」不少國際商戶。《彭博社》引述香港歐洲商務協會一份報告草案，指現時香港防疫政策或會令香港與外隔絕至2024年，導致國際人才流失。
報告認為，香港或要等到中國完成研發RNA信使疫苗，以及14億人全面接種，方可改變現時「與世隔絕」的狀況，預料需待明年底或2024年初。這情況將令香港的多元化受損，對國際公司的吸引力亦會下降，限制了貢獻中國經濟的潛力。
報告另外預計，今次有可能是管理層等海外人才離港規模最大的一次，故跨國公司應該作預備，於亞洲其他城市設立地區辦公室。
事實上，香港的嚴厲防疫政策早已引起外商不滿。香港美國商會日前公布調查結果，受訪企業認為疫情限制成最大挑戰，當中引起的疑慮比美中關係及政治氣候變化更甚。而其會長早泰娜更警告，香港將會失去全球金融中心的地位。

中聯辦主任駱惠寧今26日傍晚發表「新春致辭」。
對於「愛國者治港」的選舉他說：「隨着香港國安法深入實施，選舉制度修改完善，兩場重要選舉成功舉行，愛國者治港原則得到落實，香港氣象一新⋯⋯忘不了選委會、立法會選舉，候選人比政綱、擺街站、訪選民的場景。」
又提及2019年「反修例運動」他表示「經歷過黑暴攬炒的嚴峻局面，儘管總有人企圖將民主發展引入歧途，總有人從未放棄搞亂香港，但在中國共産黨的堅強領導下，在祖國內地的堅定支持下，香港不僅頂住了，而且站穩了，東方之珠塵霾洗盡、魅力之都更勝往昔。」

Consulum的研究為「香港重新出發」制訂核心信息，宣傳香港作為直通內地市場的大都會。最接受這個定位的國家是印尼、阿聯酋、泰國和越南，最不受落的則是日本、德國和英國。
Consulum drew up a core message that sells HK as a cosmopolitan city with direct access to the Chinese market and asked the interviewees if they think the message was believable. Indonesia was the most accepting of the message, while Japan showed lowest net belief.
