香港眾志創黨成員兼前副秘書長周庭，於訪問期間表示，她多年來一直面臨香港當局的嚴格審查，護照被沒收，她一直活在恐懼之中，不得不保持沉默。「我被迫活在如此嚴峻的環境之中，而且我無法逃離。」
「考慮到香港的政治局勢，以及我的個人健康、心理健康、身體健康，還有不被允許離港的政治風險，我最終決定不再回去。」
「當然，我很期望回去，假如有一日，香港成為一個自由與民主之地，那我就可以安全回港。現在我想做的事，只想活得自由。但我唔明白，點解！自由，係咁困難，點解係需要奮戰？」
「整整三年，我活在恐懼之中，而越趨普遍的情況是，國安警察已不再遵守香港法律。我被強迫寫悔過書、感謝信，我被強迫去中國大陸，這都超出香港法律所允許。」
「我希望我的故事能夠提醒世界上每一個人，香港還有很多很多人被送進監獄，被鎮壓，甚至不能發聲。」星期日的她，身穿黃色衫，已27歲。「身心得到釋放，是我的生日願望。」
