許穎婷稱除了今次議案列出的49人，還有不少人士未被點名，認為若這次49人被制裁，對未被點名的人也是警號，「就係到底你係咪想承擔呢個後果呢？值唔值得你繼續為香港政府效命呢？」 //

歐美多國政要一連兩日，公開關注「民主派初選47人案」。美國國務院及聯合國人權專員周五（31日）分別發聲明，批評裁決結果。
美國國務院更宣佈，會對涉及國安法審訊及作出定罪裁決的，內地與香港官員，實施新一輪的簽證限制。在歐洲，超過40個政要聯署譴責香港當局，並且促請各國政府因應「47人案」採取制裁行動。
