πMuskan's Geography Optional Score Speaks of Smart Strategy and Focused Preparation!
πMuskan has shown consistent improvement in her Geography Optional scoreβmoving from 265 earlier to an impressive 287 this time. Whatβs remarkable is that despite missing 8 map entries in Paper 2, her strong content & clarity in preparation made a clear impact.
βHer success can be attributed to:
πSticking to one specific source of GUIDANCE IAS notes/Classes, which helped her streamline content and avoid scattered preparation.
πA key skill: the ability to comprehend the demand of questions quickly during the exam: knowing what to write, what to skip & how much to write.
This focused & smart approach made all the difference!

πStudent Message to Pranjal Sirπ
"Sir missed the mains cutoff.
But sir I improved in optional compared to last year.
Sir I need further your suggestions to improve more and clear this exam in next attempt.ππ"
Paper 2 Score: 149.
βA Common Advice We Always Give for Geography Optional Score Improvement β Especially in Paper 1:
Many times, when aspirants reach out to me or Pranjal regarding score improvement in Geography optional, the advice remains consistent and proven:
> If you want to improve your marks in Paper 1, especially in Human Geography, you must either:
> Develop rich, updated, and analytical content, or
> Remove and replace substandard or generic content of your earlier notes.
Paper 1, particularly the Human Geography section, demands depth, originality, and conceptual clarity. Without that, even good writing skills won't fetch high scores.
Content is the foundation β sharpen it first and Make it DENSE!

πAgain same Issue.
πGeography Opt. Paper 2 Score: 155.
βYou have to remember that the content of Paper 1 needs to be dense, conceptually strong, and absolutely clear. Many notes circulating from different institutesβespecially in the Human Geography sectionβlack the required analytical depth and fail to reflect the evolving nature of UPSC questions, particularly post-2015.
As a result, students often struggle in two ways:
1. They cannot fully comprehend the real demand of the question due to weak conceptual grounding.
2. Even when they do understand the question, they fail to structure a precise and value-rich answer, simply because the content theyβve relied on doesn't prepare them for such analytical depth.
