This year, the Hedera network has seen a sustained and massive uptick in its TPS (transactions per second), the bulk of it being the result of increased #enterprise utilization of the #Hedera Consensus Service (HCS) as a decentralized public notary and system of immutable record.

This unprecedented activity has welcomed a huge amount of FUD regarding the validity of these transactions, and whether their inclusion in our TPS count is misleading or deceivingly inflationary.

We want to set the record straight.

Transactions using the #Hedera Consensus Service are legitimate transactions that are being submitted to the network for live use cases. They are not inclusive of any underlying algorithmic operations used to reach network consensus, and are submitted for use in real-world applications.
