Day 3 of backend journey: Why HTML isn’t enough on the server 🌐

Up until now, I thought servers just tossed static HTML files back to the browser. But static files can’t show dynamic user profiles, custom dashboards, or cart items.

Enter EJS (Embedded JavaScript).

Instead of writing static .html, you use EJS as a template engine. The server reads data from your database, injects those JS variables into your HTML layout on the fly, and sends a fully rendered page back to the browser.

Quick recap of what I played with while learning about EJS:
• Dynamic Data Injection: Passing server variables into UI templates (res.render)
• Template Partials: Building reusable components (<%- include() %>)
• Server-Side Loops: Generating HTML lists dynamically from arrays using <% for %> tags

Woke up at 4am, opened my pc and just stared at it like… okay now what? 😭

it’s not that i have nothing to do, and it’s not like i have too much to do either. i just couldn’t get myself to start anything, so i closed it and went back to sleep lol.

i guess not every morning is gonna be productive, even when you really wanna be that person who gets up early and gets things done.
