“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” - James 1:21
HeartCry Missionary Proom serves as a local pastor in a fishing village in Cambodia amidst economic, family, physical, and relational hardships. He shares a brief encouragement from the scriptures to "Remain steadfast!"
Proom shares:
"I sometimes ask God 'WHY?' But I often find clarity through His Word. Being faithful requires God's help.
Tending God's sheep is not an easy task, but I can do it not with my strength, but with God's alone. There is a promise in this verse that those who hold on to God will be blessed.
Those who stand firm will receive the crown of life. These are God's promises. Remain steadfast!"

Doug G. is a pastor located in South Asia.
Doug was brought up in a Hindu family and was saved after attending a local church and receiving a Bible. He recalls:
"I got a Bible for the first time and began to read it. As I continued to listen to every sermon and read through the Gospels, God opened my blinded eyes and convinced me of my sins and my need of the Savior.
I came to know that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6).
God gave me a new heart to repent and believe in Jesus Christ. I repented from my sins and put my trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior. It was all His grace that brought me into saving faith.
I understood that salvation is not by human works, but it is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone (Eph. 2:8)."
Doug received his ministerial training through a three-year MDiv program. Doug also received pastoral training through an internship at his current local church.
He now serves as a pastor in preaching and teaching ministries at his local church. In addition to his responsibilities within the local church, he also has the privilege of teaching a group of pastors from the surrounding area on various topics.
Doug has been partnering with HeartCry since 2018 – the same year he and his wife were married. He shares:
"I thank God for His purpose in my life and I thank HeartCry for the encouragement, prayers, and support. May the Lord make me faithful and fruitful in His ministry."

How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? And how will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who proclaim good news of good things!” - Romans 10:14-15
The mission of every believer is to proclaim and display the Good News of the gospel to a lost and dying world. One helpful way to proclaim and share this Good News is through small tracts or booklets that explain the hopeless state of man, the need for a Savior, and the salvation provided in Jesus Christ.
HeartCry is overjoyed to see a small gospel tract booklet, The Gospel of Jesus Christ by Paul Washer, translated into many different languages, such as Portuguese, Spanish, Serbian, and Arabic, and used worldwide.
One HeartCry missionary recently shared that he and his church plan to distribute these tracts on the streets of their city before Easter.
Please pray for such efforts in which believers seek to be faithful in sharing and spreading the gospel in their local environments.
