A Chicago man and woman were shot in their car while a baby was in the backseat.

Three individuals approached the vehicle and fired at least two dozen shots before fleeing and jumping into an Alfa Romeo.

Witnesses reported encountering the car and discovering the baby, who was holding a lollipop and crying, in the backseat.

The woman sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was promptly rushed to the hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

The man was shot in his rear and arm, but he is reportedly in good condition.

Fortunately, the baby was unharmed.

As of now, no one has been apprehended in connection with this incident.

This is a truly disturbing and tragic event.
