وَثَالِئًا مِنْ بَعْدِ عَشْرٍ فَاحْتَرِمْ ... شَيْخًا فَمَنْ يُهِنْهُ كَمْ حَطَّا حُرِمْ
وَعُدْهُ إِنْ كَانَ مَرِيضًا وَابْتَهِجْ ... فِي وَجْهِهِ فَهْوَ بِذَاكَ يَبْتَهِجْ
وَاحْفَظْ لَهُ عِرْضًا بِظَهْرِ الْغَيْبِ ... فَهُوَ الْأَبُ الرُّوحِيُّ دُونَ رَيْبٍ
وَبَعْدَ هَذَا فَاذْكُرَنْهُ بِالْحَسَن ... إِنْ تَمَ عَيْبٌ قُلْ أَنَا بَعْضُ الْمِنَنْ

The thirteenth: respect your teacher, for whoever belittles him is deprived of great fortune.

Visit him when he is sick, and [15] show joy upon seeing him, for he will be delighted by it.

Protect his honor in his absence, for he is indeed a spiritual father without doubt.

After this, mention him with good; if there is any flaw, then say, "I am among his virtues."
