Focus on learning and leave off immersing yourself in political affairs!

Advice of the noble scholar, Shaykh Muhammad Aman رحمه الله.

Imam Muqbil al-Wādiʿī (رحمه الله) said:

“Those who attack the scholars, their call will eventually cease, while the scholars remain.”

A warning for us all.

He also said:

“Returning to the scholars is a path of salvation.”

Sincere advice and sound direction.

We know that our scholars are not infallible. When a scholar from Ahl al-Sunnah errs, his mistake is refuted with knowledge and justice, while his honor is preserved.

There are many examples of this.

Imam al-Dhahabī (رحمه الله) said:

“If everyone who erred in his ijtihād, despite the soundness of his faith and his sincere desire to follow the truth, were to be abandoned and labeled an innovator, then very few of the Imams would remain safe with us.”

What we are witnessing today from trolls and unknown accounts is abhorrent behavior and a clear violation of proper Islamic etiquette.

May Allah grant us all success and rectify our affairs.

Knowledge is built upon mercy!

“The foundation of this knowledge is mercy.

Its outcome is mercy in this world.

Its ultimate goal is mercy in the Hereafter.”

The opposite to knowledge = ignorance.

The opposite to mercy = oppression.

Not every written word is truth, and not every writer is precise.

Not everything written is reliable, and not every writer is accurate.

Writing is widespread, but precision, understanding, and trustworthiness are rare.

Shaykh al-Imām Muqbil used to cite:

فَدَعْ عَنْكَ الكِتَابَةَ لَسْتَ مِنْهَا
وَلَوْ سَوَّدْتَ وَجْهَكَ بِالْمِدَادِ

“So leave off writing; you are not from its people, even if you were to blacken your face with ink.”
