For decades, the people of Syria 🇸🇾 have endured unimaginable suffering under the tyranny of Bashar Assad. This moment is not just a turning point for Syria, but a lesson for everyone: oppression and injustice have no permanence, and the justice of Allah is certain.

As Syria moves forward, the challenges of rebuilding the nation, both materially and religiously, are immense. Decisions regarding leadership, governance, and the resolution of deep-rooted issues must be guided by the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the wisdom of those firmly grounded in knowledge.

While the scholars seek to unite the Ummah upon the truth and what is beneficial for them in this world and the Hereafter, reckless voices on social media can potentially open the door for people to exploit divisions and instability.

We ask Allah, the Most Merciful, to grant the people of Syria stability, safety, and what is best for them in this life and the next.

Syria: A Moment of Joy and Caution

The collapse of Bashar’s oppressive regime fills our hearts with joy as we witness the release of men, women, and children from the darkness of his prisons. The sight of their freedom brings tears to our eyes, yet the signs of torture and the unspeakable atrocities they endured, known only to Allah, are a sobering reminder of the cruelty they faced.

While this moment signals hope for Syria, it is also a time for caution. Among the celebrations, we hear troubling voices calling for the “liberation of Makkah and Madinah.”

Such dangerous rhetoric reflects the ideology of the Khawarij, who exploit moments of instability to spread their divisive and destructive agenda. This not only threatens the unity of the Ummah but also invites manipulation by external forces with their own interests.

We must turn to Allah with sincere supplication during this critical time:

I ask because, while I don't know the wisdom it doesn't prevent me from accepting authentic narrations but I hope to understand it considering today's climate where everyone tries to use anything they "think" maligns Islam even when the wisdom is clear.

Ash'ath b. Qais said:
"I was a guest of 'Umar one evening, and in the middle of the night he approached his wife and hit her, and I separated them. When he was ready to go to bed he said to me: 'O Ash'ath, memorize from me something that I heard from the Messenger of Allah" A man should not be asked why he hits his wife…”
