At around 20:30 in Causeway Bsy, around 20 riot police escorted around 10 black-clad,
face-covered people to board police vehicles. They were carrying baggage and wearing the type of respirator mask used by the police. The police equipped with shields obstructed members of the press from filming by flashing strong light. Onlookers suspected that they were undercover police.

Police Assaulted and Took Away a Man For Reason Unknown
At 23:46 in Causeway Bay, police detained a man and a woman for over 5 minutes right outside of Windsor House for reason unknown.
Meanwhile, a police vehicle drove by and intentionally blocked the reporters' view on the other side of the road.
From the unobstructed view provided by this video, officers pushed the man into nearby bushes and started to beat him up. They then violently dragged him onto the police car and took him away. Police pushed away some reporters in the process.

Injured First-aider on Nov 2 Confirmed to be a Freshman of the Hong Kong Shue Yan University

Confirmed by the Student Union of Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU), a freshman of the university was injured by the tear gas grenade tossed by the police at a tram stop on Percival Street, Causeway Bay on November 2.
At that time, the student serving as a voluntary first aider was not wearing any respirator mask. He felt sick and was in shock after inhaling a large amount of gas. After being sent to the hospital, the medical staff confirmed that there were large areas of burn damage at his back.
The Student Union strongly condemns such police brutality. It reiterates that police conduct was unreasonable, considering that the student was just to provide emergency medical services, and that there were only reporters and medics on both sides of the street. The police’s actions not only grievously harmed the student, but also endangered medics, reporters, and citizens at the scene.
The Student Union urge the University to take a stand on such injustice, provide assistance to the injured student, and condemn police for imposing violence on students and others by using highly dangerous tactics and weapons. The University should also seek for the establishment of an independent commission to investigate police brutality and take further actions to protect its students.

Police fired pepper balls at pedestrians without warning in Mongkok
At 00:16 (Nov 3) in Mongkok, riot police rapidly pushed forward to Sai Yeung Choi Streer then - without any warning - fired pepper balls at crowds and reporters on the sidewalk merely meters away.
A number of citizens were hit, and began to suffer effects such as vomiting, coughing, irritation on their skin and throat. First-aiders attended to them and helped wash off the irritants. One affected person was indignant: "There's nowhere to run! We were already on the sidewalk and we still got shot!"
Another woman was pepper-sprayed while trying to reason with the police. Her face was red from the pepper spray and her eyes were swollen to the point where they couldn't open. Police denied first-aiders from approaching her; she eventually managed to leave the cordon line on her own, at which point several first-aiders attended to her injuries.

After sacking 5,300 Hong Kong-based staff members, Cathay Pacific demands its remaining employees to change to a new contract or face sacking.
Earlier, Cathay Pacific flight attendants' union has informed the police and applied for a rally permission at Cathay City on November 4. Two days before the rally, the police rejected the request.
The union criticized Cathay Pacific for mistreating their staff by firing them and cutting their salary. Communication with the management has been problematic and there are a lot of unsolved issues with the new contract. Many employees regretted signing it.
Although the rally has been rejected by the police, the union will find alternative ways to voice their opinion.
Since several pro-democracy rallies took place at the airport in August and September 2019, the Hong Kong Airport Authority has obtained an injunction order from the court, barring anyone who are not staff, nor passengers with a boarding pass from entering the Hong Kong airport.
