Members of the press said to the masked riot police, ”Please respect our profession, and don’t obstruct our work.” One of the Special Tactical Squad, feeling agitated, started to act in an out-of-control manner.

Plainclothes Police Pepper-sprayed by Colleagues

1738 | #SheungShui

During arrests in Sheung Shui, riot police repeatedly pepper-sprayed citizens, as well as a plainclothes police officer. He made clarifications as to his identity, and had to show his warrant card in order to stop being pepper-sprayed. The officer was in agony, and needed help from his colleagues to leave.

Editor's note: It is not the first time police officers had hurt their co-workers "accidentally", and it is worth thinking whether police had deployed "reasonable force", or whether they were just attacking civilians indiscriminately.
