Lest We Forget: Candles and Flowers for the Sacrificed
Candles and flowers were placed around 'Yellow Raincoat Man' Leung Ling-kit's altar in commemoration to him. A paper-folded pig was also placed in front of the altar, stating that the Hong Kong people have not forgotten those who have sacrificed themselves for the movement, and that their original intention has not changed.

COVID-19 Updates (7/3)
At the time of writing, the global number of infected has risen to at least 104,157 with 3526 deaths. China, South Korea, Iran, and Italy continues to be the most affected by the pandemic.
China is now reporting 80,651 cases with 3070 deaths. South Korea is reporting 7041 cases with 44 deaths. Iran is reporting 4747 cases with 124 deaths. Italy is reporting 4636 cases with 197 deaths.
The Netherlands saw a rise of 60 patients with the coronavirus putting the national number to 188.
The UK saw a rise of 42 confirmed cases putting the national number to 206.
Greece has reported 14 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the national total of confirmed cases to 45.
Three new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the western Herat province in Afghanistan, bringing the country’s total to 4.
Iceland’s government has called for the country’s response to coronavirus to move into what it is calling an “emergency phase,” after two people were found to have contracted the virus in the country, bringing the total number of infected nationwide to 45.
The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in France has climbed to 613, the French government announced Saturday, adding that 10 patients have so far died after contracting the virus.
Germany also revised up its count on Saturday to 684, the German agency for disease control Robert Koch Institute said.

Today is the birthday of “yellow raincoat man”, Leung Ling-kit, who jump off a building in order to urge the government from establishing the Extradition Bill on 15 June 2019. A large group of civilians responded to netizen's call and showed up at Pacific Place to commemorate him.
Most civilians brought white flowers, while others brought along bottles of wine and lighted up incense to show their respect in the memorial.

Commissioner of Police Criticised "Headliner" for Content against Police
Host of "Headliner": RTHK is Facing Pressure from "Every Aspect"
Tang Ping-keung, Commissioner of Police, wrote to Director of Broadcasting Leung Ka-Wing in criticism of RTHK’s programme “Headliner”, for its biased content against the professionalism of police. Such an action was deemed exerting pressure on RTHK.
Sam Ng, one of the hosts of “Headliner” said on his YouTube clip that RTHK’s pressure was not only from the police, but from “every aspect“. This strain penetrated all levels, and burdened all staff members.
Ng believed, Tang’s earlier letter to “Headliner” denouncing one of its session, “Panic News”, was only superficial. The more critical one was Tang’s letter to the Communication Authority, in which he questioned why the “Headliner” did not condemned the “rioters” for their violence such as road- blocking and arson. Upon receiving the letter, the Communication Authority would demand an explanation from RTHK.
Working in collusion both inside and outside the council has been the Pro- Beijing camp’s common practice to oppressive freedom of speech, including reducing fundings, constant complaints and opposition, throttling RTHK’s room of survival, and distorting the role of public broadcasting.
Sam Ng believed that as this incident threatened the freedom of speech in Hong Kong, citizens should unite and fight.
Ng said the suppression of RTHK was an indisputable fact, ” This is not a personal issue, but an issue that involves every Hong Kong citizen. This is a matter of Hong Kong’s freedom of speech and press, and a matter of RTHK’s role as a public broadcasting body”. Ng believed the public should look the problem in the face, but they were still “surprisingly calm” at the moment.
Ng pointed out that the public were not hands- tied. They could mobilize their united power to support RTHK. He urged citizens to subscribe RTHK’s YouTube channel, and watch more of its programs and clips. They could also write in compliments to RTHK and the Communication Authority, in order to show that RTHK was not only entitled to criticisms. Ng stressed that now was a critical time of RTHKms survival, “As long as we could make it through, we can find our way out.”

Citizens write letters of encouragement to 47 detained democrats at a Citizens' Radio street station
In the afternoon of March 7, Citizens’ Radio set up a street booth in Causeway Bay calling on the public to write letters of encouragement to the 47 pro-democracy candidates who were charged with conspiracy to commit subversion under the National Security Law. These candidates participated in the primary election last year in order to maximize the chance for the pro-democracy legislators to achieve a majority in the Legislative Council.
The station broadcast said, “We don’t know what we can do under the shadow of white terror, but we can do our best, such as writing letters.”
