Stock Food for Another 14 days in Wuhan 1/2

Editor’s Note: There are various messages left on Weibo and Twitter saying that some people in Wuhan are running out of food at home, as they didn’t buy enough food before they were banned to leave home; there are also some photos circulated online showing the price of food via bulk purchasing was several times higher than normal. Previously Wuhan people were restricted to stay inside the city, then down to stay their residential communities, and finally further down to stay at their homes, until further 24 Feb. Now they are told to have another 14 days lock up in their homes.

(23 Feb) Many soldiers have entered Wuhan. So the siege and controls will be stepped up. Wuhan people won’t even be allowed to leave their homes. Would it be another ‘Siege of Changchun’? How many people will starve to death if they totally ban people to leave their homes for 14 days long?

Image 1
Summary: A noitce from a neighborhood committee saying that after 24 Feb 24:00, delivery and collection of items and parcels are strictly forbidden at the entrance of the community. Only bulk purchasing of certain type of basic food via neighborhood committee will be allowed as disinfection is needed. Bulk purchasing will happen once every 5 days. It also suggests residents to stock up on food at least enough for 5 days in advance.

Image 2
Netizen A: So as the admin has announced, all cars will be banned in the city from the 24 Feb. The certificate we used before is useless. We need another standardised pass.

Netizen B: I guess they are further strengthening the measures and siege.

Netizen C: Is that true?
Should we begin to buy and stock daily supplies?

Netizen D: I just bought a lot in the Taoda market.

Netizen E: Yesterday many police and army officers arrived at the Rujiakuaijie hotel in the Wulixinchuan (The new village of Wuli). There were 5 big coaches and 10 small vehicles. They all came by flight.

Stock Food for Another 14 days in Wuhan 2/2

Image 3
Last time many police officers were sent from Chongqjng to Wuhan, and now they again send another batch of police from other provinces to support City of Suizhou in Hubei. It would be normal to send medical staff, but police? What else are they planning to do?

Image 4
Netizen A: Get prepared and stock supplies. From 25 Feb to 10 Mar, nobody is allowed to leave their residence. All shops will be closed! If this works, another 15 day city siege will follow. Aiming to end the siege on around 25 Mar. This news is basically confirmed.

Netizen B: Can anyone check if it’s true?

(Attachment: Government orders 2020 number 44 pdf. )

Netizen C: This is true. The measures will be strictly enforced on 25 Feb.

Netizen D: Yeah i guess it’s another round of more stringent measures. A measure like this means that the effort we put in in the past was in vain.

Netizen E: Sigh, the supply for food will be tight again.

Fight for queuing mask in Japan

Editor note: It is compulsory for all Japanese to learn martial arts in primary school and junior high school. Now that seems to be useful to uphold justice in some occasions.

Date: 25 Feb 2020
Location: Yokohama, Japan

Apparently, a woman cut in line when everyone was queuing for masks. A Filipino nearby tried to persuade her but to no avail. The two then started to fight. Another man came to support the one who jumped the queue. A Japanese joined in for a just cause. The whole incident involved 4 people from 3 countries. According to the local laws in Japan, all of the 4 will be handled and charged.

Sequel in Isezakich, Japan
Narrator: The first women who was beaten was a Chinese woman who jumped the queue. The one who began the fight was a Filipino. Later, a thin Chinese man tried to help the Chinese woman. The Japanese was triggered and got involved at last as well.

Chinese Netizens Impersonate Taiwanese to Apologize to the WHO

The screenshot shows that a Twitter user who introduced herself as "a girl from China" in her profile, represented Taiwanese to apologize to the WHO.

The WHO chief has recently offended Taiwan after he accused Taiwanese of lodging "racist critique" to him. Although WHO chief has yet disclosed any evidence, it has been reported that China's Internet army was mobilized to claim themselves "Taiwanese" and make apology to the WHO in the name of "Taiwan".

Messages from a Wuhan Netizen

Editor’s note: A Taiwanese netizen published a post regarding the origin of the virus on PTT. The post includes a series of screenshots which were from a person living in Wuhan.

(16 Apr) To ensure safety, I won’t use internet censorship circumvention on my computer. I can only use my phone to take pictures on the screen. The image resolution will be low for sure. I will try my best to let you read it clearly.

Around 20 Dec 2019, I read the news of suspected SARS epidemic in Wuhan through Taiwan and International media. (At that time, I didn’t know it was a SARS related virus with a higher threat) I started to be aware of this situation every day.

On 30 and 31 Dec 2019, I knew that Dr. Li Min Liang as a representative of 8 other doctors were all arrested. The international media also reported a hospital at Hàn Kǒu Jīn Yín Tán in Hubei was overcrowded; Then, I went to buy masks.

I lived in the small community nearby Shí Pái Lǐng in Wuchang. Walk towards the south along the road around a few thousand meters is South Lake District. If you walk a few thousand meters more, you will arrive in Jiang Xia district. The laboratory of Wuhan Institute of Virology is located in Jin Long Main Street, Jiang Xia.

//The nearest hospital from my house is the People’s Liberation Army’s General Hospital of Central Theater Command. It is opened to the public and located around 20 minutes walk from my residence. After I bought my masks, I didn’t go straight to my house. Instead, I walked to the hospital. In these 20 minutes, there were 3 ambulances with the siren on passed by and 2 of them were labelled as “Jiang Xia First Aid Center”//

Posts on “Women around the world want to marry Chinese men” floods WeChat

(30 Apr) Following articles on “Countries aspire to return to China”, WeChat has recently been flooded with posts on “Women around the world want to marry Chinese men”. This type of post mainly uses examples of foreign women marrying Mainland Chinese men and inferring that women all over the world desire to do so. The title of these posts are all something like “I am a woman from (this country), I want to marry a Chinese man” and “Why do beauties from (this country) want to marry Chinese men?”. Reasons for wanting to marry Chinese men are praises for China, such as "China has a good environment", "high GDP per capita", and "a woman will get a house when she marries in China”.

Netizens believe that these posts are only “fantasies of Chinese men”, and some find them absurd. It has been reported that some of these "Marrying Chinese men" posts got deleted by WeChat recently because of the exaggerated and inaccurate content, but some could still be found due to the overwhelming volume of these posts.

Xinjiang Today, Hong Kong Tomorrow

(22 May) A netizen from Guangdong shared his experience staying in Xinjiang with his female supervisor for 2 months in a factory inside an industrial complex near the airport. That factory provided supplies for local schools such as catering stationeries and uniforms, all for internal consumption. That industrial complex for Guangdong province has its hotel and restaurant which resembles a fish tank and supplies game. Below is a summary which includes the key information shared by that netizen.

Factory resembles detention camp
- Different regions and provinces of China have their own industrial complex in Xinjiang. Each complex has its own police and armoured cars and prohibits people from other regions or provinces people from entering.
- Investors don’t need to have experiences in operating factories. They only need to provide capital. The government offers unlimited workforce (meager salary, almost free), infrastructure and surveillance facilities.
- All factories are in the name of Charity; however, the government and investor share profits.
- The government trains investors on how to run their factory and controls all the infrastructure, middle management and trainer for Uyghurs in all factories.
- If factory is short of workforce, the government will catch any Uyghurs on the street and put them into factories. If the Uyghurs don’t obey, their WeChat and social credit system will be locked.
- Each industry complex has a torture room and darkroom.
- All workers are Uyghurs.

Uyghurs’ lives in factories
⁃ Uyghurs have to obey all rules set by supervisor. If they don’t come to work or get any complaints, they and their family will be sent to jail.
⁃ Uyghurs have to have lunch in group of 5-6 people with their supervisor under surveillance. Camera filming every Uyghur eating pork operates daily.
⁃ During non-office hours, trainers assigned by the government monitor and train the Uyghurs.
⁃ The Uyghurs have regular body checkups. The medical report contains all extensive details, including medical history, blood type. Their reason for this is to provide different supplements; however, the true reason could be sterilization.

Uyghurs’ life in Xinjiang
- All the Uyghurs live in rural areas as they are not allowed to live in urban areas. They usually live in house built by clay. The government may knock down their home and provide a cement home. However, such cement buildings are often unfinished and the government compels the Uyghurs to pay the loan to finish the construction.
- Han supervisors are assigned to every Uyghur family. Each family has to reserve a bedroom for its supervisor and report every week every what they do.
- If a Uyghur family has a pretty teen girl and its supervisor likes her, the supervisor will come often to sleep with the teen girl.
- The Uyghurs don’t have permission to go out, without a Han’s company in the street, Uyghurs can’t gather together in groups of more than 3 people. If a Han is around, Uyghurs are prohibited from speaking their language. If they do so carelessly, they will be caught and may “disappeared”.
- The government knocked down all Uyghurs’ graves. All worship of ancestors is forbidden.
- Uyghurs need to beat other Uyghurs to show their loyalty to the government
- There is no mobility for Uyghurs since they can’t buy a ticket or use the highways.

Han People invading Xinjiang
- The Han people came from Sichuan, and they become the master of the Uyghurs
- Only Han people have permission to do business in Xinjiang. They buy agriculture products like dates from the Uyghurs at low prices.

Chinese Embassies in the world stop passport renewal and issuing new passports

Image 1:
My friend's Chinese passport will expire the second half of this year. He went to the Chinese embassy to renew the passport in March but the embassy kept postponing the appointment date. My friend got a notification in April for appointment then got change to July. He called today and was informed that the passport can't be renewed because the factory in China stopped the passport production. The Chinese embassy recommended him to go back to China first.

This is the third case that Chinese embassy rejected a renewal passport application. This round of locking down of China is coming violently and rapidly.

Image 2:
A Chinese embassy in Tokyo also refused to issue new passports.

Image 3:
This is what overseas Uyghurs have experienced all these years. No passports is issued to them, they are only given travel permits, and have to go back to China to get passports. And once they go back to China for passports, they are sent to concentration camps. At that time when the Uyghurs came out and shouted such policy was unfair, many Chinese didn’t believe it. Now it’s good, every person, one by one, is entering Xinjiang mode. It seems it won’t be too long to see concentration camps in places other than Xinjiang in mainland China!

(12 Sep) I was told by a shrimp trawling fishermen that it was the Chinese national security officials who crossed the border to abduct 12 Hongkongers in Hong Kong waters on that day, so no Hong Kong lawyers were allowed to visit them. I dare the Chinese Communist Party to reveal the exact time and coordinates they abducted the 12 Hongkongers, somebody filmed the location where they were abducted.
Cross-border hostage-taking, denial of access to prisoners, and the fear of her lies being exposed, Carrie Lam has violated her oath of office to protect the lives and property of Hongkongers.

Editor’s note: There is still no evident supporting that fishermen’s claim. More about Kwok Cheuk-kin.
