In these times of affliction,
Our love seeks only to protect our next generation.

We promised we won't let each other be maimed down in bloodshed, knocked out in trauma, locked up in prison.

Yet, everything came too sudden.

We can't stand in the flow of history,
Nor can we hasten the advent of romance.

We can't know when next we can embrace each other,
Nor can we determine when we'll say our last farewells.
