From Ebola Virus to "CCP Virus"

In reality as well as theory one should be politically correct. Expressions such as "people of color" might propagate stereotypes, just as racial bias still linger in judiciary in multicultural states (Bielen et al. 2019).

Certainly, one can reword "Wuhan Pneumonia" to avoid China's stark accusation of 'racism' in the terminology; however, this would be serving the 'political correctness' set by the Communist Part of China, for that Chinese government has been changing its narrative of what it once called the "Wuhan pneumomia". In the revised narrative put forward by the Chinese Communist Party in 2020, the origin of COVID-19 is no longer Wuhan in China, the first epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, but the U.S. or perhaps Italy. Although China's state media China Daily had used the term "Wuhan pneumonia" in December 2019, Chinese government now condemns the world (in particular, the U.S.) for using the 'racist' term.

Considering "Spanish flu", "Ebola virus", "Hong Kong flu", "German measles", "Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS)" and "Japanese encephalitis", these are precedent examples of naming a disease after a place or site of its first outbreak. While more and more people including U.S. president Donald Trump called COVID-19 a "CCP virus", let us not forget what Prof. Ho-Fung Hung of Johns Hopkins University reminds us that criticizing the Chinese government should not be obscured as a racism.

When people around the world are combating this coronavirus, please do not forget every loss of life that has not been counted in reality but took place in the multiverse that the Chinese government could not cover up. We cannot time travel to undo the past, but we shall always remember the truths to avoid making more mistakes in the future.

Please leave behind your lament and together we will strive for a better future and pursue happiness for the human race. Hongkongers will continue to be the whistleblower to uncover CCP's doing and China authoritarianism, the root cause of this coronavirus pandemic.

Italy is ranked as the country with the most rapid spread of Covid-19 outside of China.

Many Italians are losing their patience towards things which are related to China, such as Chinese #propaganda materials.

With the internet being flooded with fake news, coupled with how China's censorship impedes the truth from being spread, the Italians cannot help but to feel infruriated and powerless as they are now dependent on Chinese-made supplies. Whistleblowers trying their best to tell the world the truth are often silenced.

China is trying bribe the world into silence with money, gifts, and shifting the blame of the spread of Covid-19 to other countries.

They then get the gratitude of the world for being a generous and helpful nation, providing supplies to countries in need. Meanwhile, all this is done while blame shifting and pointing fingers at other nations, claiming them responsible for the pandemic, instead of they themselves. This is a nation run by a bunch of shameless leaders who lack principles and morals.

We should not let China benefit from the Wuhan virus.
We should ask for reimbursements for war damages: what else is this if this is not a war?
Perhaps, the only way to destroy such a nation is to resort to insane methods.

Faulty Chinese test kits yield false Covid-19 results in Sweden

Sweden's Public Health Agency said that Chinese test kits had returned some 3,700 false positive results, an error discovered by two laboratories during routine quality controls.

These kits are made by the company BGI Genomics and had been distributed worldwide.

Other than Sweden, these tests kits have also been exported to many other countries around the world. The Health Agency has informed the relavant authorities, and the World Health Organization.

As a result of this discovery, Sweden's authoriries had to contact those affected, as well as adjust the nation's official number of cases.

Ex-legislator finds significantly lower mortality rate in 5th wave of COVID-19 outbreak in HK, questioning government's ever stricter control measures

Perry Chan Pui-yin, former pro-democracy legislator representing the sector of medical doctors in Hong Kong compiled and tabulated the number of deaths in connection to COVID19 since 2020.

Chan concluded that among the total number of 40,700 confirmed cases in the 5 waves of COVID19 outbreaks, 259 patients passed away, equivalent to a mortality rate of 0.64%.

However, in the 5th wave alone, 46 died among the 28,069 confirmed cases as at February 18. That is to say, the morality rate has reduced significantly to only 0.16%.

Its worth noting that delay factors should be considered alongside with mortality rate during an outbreak, as it could take as long as 2-3 weeks to record a related death.

Among the 46 death cases recorded during 5th wave of COVID-19 outbreak, 40 of them had not vaccinated, 3 others had 2 doses of Sinovac vaccinations, 1 had 1 dose of Sinovac vaccination while the remaining 1 had two jabs of BionTech vaccinations.

Chan stressed that these data should be read in relation to the patients' age and background in order to avoid a biased conclusion.
