Over 600 PRC medical officers exempt from compulsory quarantine arrangements, checked in at Metropark Hotel Mongkok

(28 Aug)The Hong Kong Hotel Employees Union confirmed that more than 600 unqualified PRC medical officers would arrive in Hong Kong with exemption from mandatory quarantine rules.

Testing for the Wuhan Pneumonia virus will be the responsibility of the BGI Group. [The genome sequencing company] is well-known for its forcible collection of DNA samples from locals working under the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, which is sanctioned by the US for its human rights abuses and fostering terrorist groups.

The epidemic's third wave was a result of quarantine exemptions on travellers to Hong Kong, which led to difficulties in contact tracing. The relentless SAR government not only extended gathering restrictions [for social distancing] under the pretence of disease prevention, but it also began the rollout of a "health code" system to monitor and control Hongkongers' freedom of entry.

The HKSAR did not prioritise outsourcing these public services to local medical professionals and testing labs. Instead, they chose to deploy PRC officers with unknown qualifications and an endorsed company. The Chinese Communist Party's purpose in Hong Kong is obviously to make preparations for the monitoring and control of Hongkongers under the guise of disease prevention.

Hongkongers, are you ready for this?

UAE Donates COVID-19 Test Kits from BGI to Nevada, U.S. Government Warns Against Using it for Fear of Leakage of Patient Privacy

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) donated 250,000 doses of Chinese-made COVID-19 test kits to the State of Nevada. However, the officials from the U.S. Department of Foreign Affairs and Homeland Security privately warned the State of Nevada not to use this batch of test kits due to concerns over patient privacy, the accuracy of the kits, and the involvement of the Chinese government.

U.S. intelligence agencies have been warning that China and other countries may use test samples to learn about the medical history of the tester, illnesses, or genetic characteristics of the test subjects, but they have not provided evidence. According to an internal email obtained by the Associated Press under the Public Records Act, the office of the Governor of Nevada shows that the U.S. authorities are most concerned about the test kits produced by BGI Group from China, the largest gene-sequencing company in the world.

William Puff, a Homeland Security regional attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi, sent an email to Nevada officials, “I hope that the leadership of the Nevada COVID-19 Task Force is aware of this. As a result, they can make an informed decision and know some concerns of the U.S. government."

US media: #BGI and the People’s Liberation Army collaborate to collect DNA data

According to reports of The Reuters and current affairs program "60 Minutes" of CBS, BGI Group – the world’s largest biotechnology company, is ties to the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), including working with PLA supercomputer experts on research that range from respiratory pathogens to brain science. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, BGI sells millions of COVID-19 test kits in Europe, America, and Australia. US security officials have warned American labs against using Chinese test kids, concerning China on gathering foreign genetic data for its own research, though BGI strongly denied.

By searching over 40 publicly available documents and research papers in Chinese and English, the Reuters showed the links between BGI Group and PLA are closer than previously understood, reflecting how China integrates private technology companies into military-related research under President Xi Jinping.
