Ever since the "China Dream" of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg all but evaporated

Zuckerberg recognized the harsh reality of China's major threat to the order of internet and issued a warning at Georgetown University. What is happening right now is the clash between two ideologies and a modern Cold War. The below passage is an excerpt from his speech:

//This raises a larger question about the future of the global internet. China is building its own internet focused on very different values, and is now exporting their vision of the internet to other countries. Until recently, the internet in almost every country outside China has been defined by American platforms with strong free expression values. There's no guarantee these values will win out. A decade ago, almost all of the major internet platforms were American. Today, six of the top ten are Chinese.

Until recently, the internet in almost every country outside China has been defined by American platforms with strong free expression values. But there's no guarantee these values will win out.

We're beginning to see this in social media. While our services, like WhatsApp, are used by protesters and activists everywhere due to strong encryption and privacy protections, on TikTok, the Chinese app growing quickly around the world, mentions of these protests are censored, even in the US.
Is that the internet we want?

It's one of the reasons we don't operate Facebook, Instagram or our other services in China. I wanted our services in China because I believe in connecting the whole world and I thought we might help create a more open society. I worked hard to make this happen. But we could never come to agreement on what it would take for us to operate there, and they never let us in. And now we have more freedom to speak out and stand up for the values we believe in and fight for free expression around the world.

This question of which nation's values will determine what speech is allowed for decades to come really puts into perspective our debates about the content issues of the day. While we may disagree on exactly where to draw the line on specific issues, we at least can disagree. That’s what free expression is. And the fact that we can even have this conversation means that we’re at least debating from some common values. If another nation's platforms set the rules, our discourse will be defined by a completely different set of values.//

Chinese Netizens Suggest to Send the plague patients in China to Hong Kong to “solve two social issues at once"

[Nov 15] People in Beijing, China are getting worried about the recent outbreak of plague as the disease tends to spread quickly. The Chinese government has acknowledged two cases so far. Some people posted in Wechat groups that many floors of the Beijing Children Hospital and the Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University have been closed down.

The plague has also become a hot topic among Chinese netizens, which they linked it to the Hong Kong protests. Some of them suggested to send the plague patients to Hong Kong in order to “solve two social issues at once.” The others connected the dots between the outbreak, the Hong Kong protest, the current swine fever epidemic in China and the Trade War between China and the US, claiming that “the US is targeting China precisely with well-planned attacks one wave after another” and “the US is being too frantic.”

Other netizens however, argued that the Chinese government always blamed their problems on intervention and disruption from foreign countries in order to gain control of China and the enormous Chinese market which creates a never-ending cycle of dogfight between countries.

Liu Ge, a finance commentator from the state-owned broadcaster CCTV, criticized the flaws in the Chinese government’s communication system. He pointed out that there should be no way the plague victims manage to transfer to Beijing hospitals after it was confirmed they contracted the disease in Mongolia.

His weibo account with over 400,000 followers was censored wiped out soon after he posted about the above criticisms of the Chinese government.

Inception: China's Control Over "Pandemic"

"Just as WHO chief Dr. Tedros, or China's best ally, still claims that there is no “pandemic”, Germany Minister of Health Jens Spahn does not seem to have time for a joke, as cases of Wuhan pneuminia are rising in Europe.

Meanwhile, WHO continues to put emphasis on how the daily confirmed cases in China are outnumbered by those outside.

When China's territory is considered confidential by the Beijing, what could not be a state secret in China? Perhaps the confirmed cases of Wuhan pneumonia?"

Inception: China's Control Over "Pandemic"

Even when the pandemic is raging in China, the regime continues to hypnotize the world regarding its productiveness as the world’s factory where work does not cease under any circumstance.

This may remind one of the sit-com Friends (Season 6, Episode 13), where Monica still wished to seduce Chandler after catching a flu. She then used so many ways to make herself attractive despite being sick.

Indeed, China is doing something quite similar: This is, for instance, by hiring different international experts to praise the country's anti-epidemic measures. China's own veteran medical expert Zhong Nanshan also tries hard to persuade the world that the coronavirus did not originate from China, although it first appeared in China.

Just as WHO chief Dr. Tedros, or China's best ally, still claims that there is no “pandemic”, Germany's Minister of Health Jens Spahn does not seem to have time for any joke, as cases of Wuhan pneuminia are rising in Europe. Meanwhile, WHO continues to put emphasis on how the daily confirmed cases in China are outnumbered by those outside. When China's territory is considered confidential by the Beijing, what could not be a state secret in China? Perhaps the confirmed cases of Wuhan pneumonia?

In any case, China obviously has many allies working in the field of epidemiology, just as Dr. Bruce Aylward had expressed his wish to undergo treatment in China if he happens to have caught the deadly coronavirus.

Quite coincidentally, Reuters pointed out in a recent report that scientific articles about the Wuhan pneumonia vary in quality even when published in international journals. It is perhaps noteworthy that more than half of these papers came from Chinese researchers and research centers in China.

Has the Chinese government been too enthusiastic in funding Wuhan-Pneumonia-related research? Did the researchers follow academic ethics when conducting their analyses? Are political pressure and financial interest the determining factors in drawing conclusion? We’ll let the readers to decide the answers.

Why is this Apocalypse? — Chip Tsao

(27 Feb) China let the Wuhan Pneumonia epidemic happen because they lacked self-confidence in western values. Yet, China pretends to construct an overlapping period of this “Humanity with a Common Destiny.”

The leftards of the western society have a long history of drumming up the introspective guilt towards western civilisation. A hundred years ago, German writer Oswald Spengler wrote the book Decline of the West (Der Untergang des Abendlandes) to undermine the occidental-centric viewpoint of history, and argued that western European civilisation was in a declining or even destructing stage.
————————————-

//But they don’t know that contemporary China has no “civilisation.”

//The so-called “Construction of Humanity with a Common Destiny” and “China Dream” were just bubbles formed by pumping money from China’s GDP to the world.

//Their wait for China to construct “Humanity with a Common Destiny” is, of course, a nightmare as well as a joke. EU, UN, WHO, and WTO are rotten inside and out one more than the next.

Chinese Military Allegedly Uses Hollywood Movie Footage in Promotional Video

Netizens have found that the air raid simulations in the video released by the Chinese military force resemble iconic scenes of some Hollywood films including The Rock (1996), The Hurt Locker (2008) and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009).

China Is Building Entire Villages in Another Country’s Territory

By Robert Barnett

//In October 2015, China announced that a new village, called Gyalaphug in Tibetan or Jieluobu in Chinese, had been established in the south of the #Tibet Autonomous Region (#TAR)...

#Gyalaphug is, however, different: It is in #Bhutan. Wu and a retinue of officials, police, and journalists had crossed an international border. They were in a 232-square-mile area claimed by China since the early 1980s but internationally understood as part of Lhuntse district in northern Bhutan. The Chinese officials were visiting to celebrate their success, unnoticed by the world, in planting settlers, security personnel, and military infrastructure within territory internationally and historically understood to be Bhutanese...

This new construction is part of a major drive by Chinese President #XiJinPing since 2017 to fortify the Tibetan borderlands, a dramatic escalation in China’s long-running efforts to outmaneuver India and its neighbors along their Himalayan frontiers. In this case, China doesn’t need the land it is settling in Bhutan: Its aim is to force the Bhutanese government to cede territory that China wants elsewhere in Bhutan to give Beijing a military advantage in its struggle with New Delhi.

Gyalaphug is now one of three new villages (two already occupied, one under construction), 66 miles of new roads, a small hydropower station, two Communist Party administrative centers, a communications base, a disaster relief warehouse, five military or police outposts, and what are believed to be a major signals tower, a satellite receiving station, a military base, and up to six security sites and outposts that China has constructed in what it says are parts of Lhodrak in the TAR but which in fact are in the far north of Bhutan....

Today all of the Menchuma Valley and most of the Beyul are controlled by China. Both are being settled. Together, they constitute 1 percent of Bhutan’s territory; if it were to lose them, it would be comparable to the United States losing Maine or Kentucky...

In Chinese, the term for so-called salami-slicing tactics—slowly cutting off  piece by piece of other nations’ territory—is can shi, or “nibbling like a silkworm.” It’s serious business: The belief that India was gnawing at fragments of China’s territory drove Mao to launch the 1962 Sino-Indian War. And the converse of the phrase is jing tun, “swallowing like a whale.” The small bites of the silkworm can turn into crushing jaws...//
