Pro-Beijing Camp criticised Pro-democracy Lawmakers for “colluding with foreign powers” by meeting with US Consul General

Former Chief Executive CY Leung accused the meeting between Civic Party members Leong Kah-kit and Yeung Ngok-kiu with US Consul General Hanscom Smith as “inappropriate”. The Pro-Beijing camp also criticised pro-democracy lawmakers for “colluding with foreign powers”.

The US Consulate issued a statement on Aug 7 that Consulate members had met with pro-democracy figures and these meetings are neither secretive nor mysterious, stating that the accusation that those who met with Consulate representatives are engaging in “collusion” is ludicrous.

Further, the Consulate stated that “These allegations underscore the fact that the National Security Law was never about security, but rather, was intended to silence democracy advocates and threaten those who engage in even the most routine forms of free speech.”

The statement stressed that the US Consulate has “repeatedly raised grave concerns about the effect this ill-defined, vaguely worded, and far-reaching law would have on Hong Kong” since the implementation of the National Security Law. The Consulate urged Beijing to respect Hong Kong’s freedom of speech and human rights, the British Joint Declaration, and Hong Kong’s reputation. It was at last stated that “U.S. policy towards Hong Kong has been consistent for decades. Just as we have repeatedly acknowledged that Hong Kong is part of China, so have we emphasized our support for the One Country, Two Systems framework and the high degree of autonomy promised to Hong Kong by Beijing.”

Former CE #CYLeung Uses CE Office to Register a Foundation that Calls On Informants

The “803 Foundation Co., Ltd” and “803 Informant Reward Website” were established by former Hong Kong Chief Executive CY Leung to encourage people to tell on the pro-democracy protesters for police to make arrest.

Stand News discovered that Leung had been using the address of the CE office for the "803" company for a consecutive of 4 months until December 2019.

Senior barrister, Alan Leong Kah-kit, pointed out that the CE's office directly operates with public funds for designated purpose. If a company is registered at the address of the Office, it is granted a “semi-official” connection. He further elaborated that if violating the industrial title deeds could lead to the arrest of Jimmy Lai, CY Leung could be committing a much severe crime for using the Office of former CE for non-designated purposes.

Former Chief Executive Condemns HK's Secretary for Education for ignoring Xi’s opinion

The "803 HK" is a bounty website formed by CY Leung, former HK's Chief Executive and current chairman of CCPCC. Leunv applied for a judicial review at Hong Kong's,High Court on Oct 3, 2020, requesting the Court to order Secretary for Education Kevin Yeung to disclose the personal information of the teacher who was disqualified because of accusations of "professional misconduct" recently.

On Oct 4, Leung quoted from CCP secretary-general Xi Jinping “為官避事平生恥”, which means as a public servant one should not hide away from any challenge. Leung’s post implied that the Secretary for Education should follow Xi’s saying.

Leung also called the Hong Kong Professional Teachers' Union (#HKPTU) as a "union of bullies", claiming that “chaos will continue as long as HKPTU exists”.

In his post, Leung described the disqualified teacher and HKPTU as an "overbearing driver" and a "bully". The Education Bureau, on the other hand, was described as a "traffic warden" who hid away from the public’s demand to disclose the teacher’s personal information to avoid trouble. Then, Leung criticised the “traffic warden” for ignoring Xi’s famous quote, and shirking the responsibility to the judge.

Leung said the Bureau should “be strong” and not be afraid of the “bully” HKPTU.
