Protestor beaten by police in disguise left with bone fractures, might not fully recover: Scars that can never be erased
On the evening of August 11 2019, police disguised as protestors for the first time to conduct arrests. Lam Wai Kwan, one of the arrestees, was pushed over, subdued, and beaten by undercover officers at Causeway Bay that night, ending up with at least five bone fractures in his left shoulder. In the past 6 months, acupuncture, bloodletting, and physiotherapy have became Lam's daily routine. 8 months have passed since the assault by police; despite the lengthy recovery ahead, Lam's determination to seek accountability for police brutality has never changed.
